At the risk of being slated – I personally don’t think this case is as bad as what I would class real paedophiles – abducting really young kids – not teenagers – for sex
The kids are obviously worldly wise – to be on the net – in chatrooms and to arrange meetings with strangers
I think the parents and the kids themselves should take some of the blame

I tend to agree with you there Drivel, obviously this man has issues to be wanting sex with under age girls, but I think parents should take responsibility for what their kids are looking at on home computers, it’s easy to judge though, and I have to say if it was my girl, I’d would want his nuts chopping off.

and please can we “stop” the kippering jokes,,it belittles a real argument and makes it all ever SOOO trivialistic,,I dont happen to find these issues remotely funny and deserving of all this ! thanks,,!
I think that Ruby should be kippered – assuming that she hasn’t kippered herself with a wee dram or 10 of sherry first !!!
23 June, 2006 at 5:02 pm #227602Maybe this one and all other peadophiles should be put in the same cell as Sarah Jane Porter. We all know that HIV/AIDS in incurable, but without the correct meds is an extremely painful end too
25 June, 2006 at 10:18 pm #227603Think you have hit on a great solution ther Cas…………….. personally I try and watch everything my kids are accessing on the internet…………..
27 June, 2006 at 6:20 am #227604I have to say I feel the parents are partly to blame here by not warning their children of the dangers or monitoring their internet activities.
I think we also need to bear in mind that children these days are a lot more mature, they look and act older and I think that these perverts feel it gives them carte blanche to manipulate their still young minds into doing what they want.
For me the worst example of child abuse I have heard of lately was the couple who repeatedly raped a three week old baby girl…that to me and the majority of normal people is beyond comprehension and no punishement could possibly be harsh enough for them.27 June, 2006 at 5:25 pm #227605@rubenesquefemale wrote:

The general public voted for idiots to run their society.
Those who did so, can not seriously complain.
Those who didnt vote for lab-lib-con’s councilours/mp’s, can point out what complete fools you were.
There is a positive alternative.
What you can do about it, is not allow them to waste your HARD EARNED money, at the ballot box, next time round, now.
A. Find out the quality of the candicy of councilours/mp’s.
B. QUESTION the quality.
C. Is it good enough???
If not,
D. Can you find a better candidate? YOU?
YOU decide YOUR future.
27 June, 2006 at 5:41 pm #227607I sure do know what you mean Cas…………….
But surely if we got judges to be consistent and send the message out that these outrages against children will not be tolerated…………then just maybe they would think twice about doing it………….
Yes children are more worldly wise and street wise than we were but does that mean that they shouldnt be given the same protection that we were given has children………………
We need to get back to family life………….something has been lost in this very busy and very technical orientated world we live in………………….
