The only danger of that mail is it boring everyone to death, any dumb mail that asks you to pass it on, or tell your friends is etc is suspect to begin with, nobody warns you about viruses with emails usually, unless they themselves are trying to infect you.

Well I,ve heard of the power point e-mail before. If you ever get any mail similar to that again, no matter who it is from, DELETE IT.

To add to what Anita has (quite correctly) pointed out. This type of e-mail which seeks to make the recipioent aware of some terrible impending event like a mystery virus or worm that will destroy their computer etc etc is a typical hoax.

The idea is to encourage people to send it on to as many of their ‘contacts’ as they can ….. thus creating an big surge in internet traffic as they do so – which is exactly the same thing that most infected e-mails seek to do.

These e-mails are inevitably spammed hoaxes and the sensible thing is to totally ingnore them and simply delete them WITHOUT taking any other action like responding or forwarding them.

BTW if you reply to this sort of spam mail you only confirm to the spammer that they have reached a ”live” e-mail address which will result in more and more spam hitting your inbox in the future.
