To start with no i dont mean that what so ever if you bother to read what i wrote u sanctimonious **** , but its selfish people like you that say aww lets save the poor animal no matter if it suffers for the next 12 weeks only to be put to sleep anyway or if it gets through it suffers for the rest of its life atleast ur conscience is clear abt not putting a bullet to its head eh, come back when u have something useful to say

People like you make a living out of horses misfortunes and you call me selfish??

Yeah I would say save the animals life EVEN if it meant 12 weeks of pain….how many family pets suffer injuries which take months to heal but their owners pay the expensive vet fees and nurse their animal through temporary pain because they love them to pieces and know they will get better. You can say these people have the horses best interests at heart but its all bollo.cks. They reap the profits while the animal is healthy and making them money, as soon as an injury occures, they put them down, because they cant race anymore.

If one of your family members suffered a hoffific injury which meant months of pain, should they be put out of their misery and given a lethal injection??

Ok i will repeat myself incase you didn’t understand, you would put the animal through about 12 weeks of pain with 9/10 the same outcome it still having to be put to sleep. so yes there is a 10 percent chance it may recover and for a couple of years may only may as they cant speak and tell of their pain, be able to walk around its field fairly pain free or maybe with medication that will f u ck its kidneys up until the arthritis sets in and then years of more pain, but yes if you are fortunate to have a single fracture then it is worth the effort to save it but this is rarely the case.
As for it not making money if it is a successful racehorse and can be fixed enough so it was pain free and used for breeding purposes it would more than pay for itself many times over either as a brood mare or a stud horse if it is entire, so again you are talking tripe. They are worth more alive than as dog food, but it is the kindest thing to do in the long run for them. And yes if a family member was going to suffer most of their life it would be kinder to use euthanasia, i for one wish that was legal also ive seen suffering at first hand and it is dreadful and not something any caring animal owner would let their pets go through if they could prevent it.

nice post. there are too many people who dont put their animals before themselves.

Im a selfish bugger and wish my pets would live as long as me, but I would never EVER keep them alive for my sake.

Sometimes you gotta be cruel 2 be kind in this cruel world.

you’re full of shi.t,. i’ve had pets with life threatening illnesses – vet certified – but given the proper medical and loving care they DESERVE they pull through, so FU.CK all of your talk of being cruel to be kind….its all about money, always has been, always will be…the same goes for greyhounds, no one gives a fu,ck about them once theyre too old to race WAN.KERS..any decent human being would care for their pets into their elderly lives, just as they would with their own family. People who dont make me SICK

Maybe in an ideal world – or maybe you need to understand that what works for you in your circumstances isn’t an indication that it will work for everyone else in their circumstances.

    Everyone’s an expert.
