Thanks. I believe in the truth, and if someone prefers to ignore it, than thats their problem.
When i first posted this thread, people viewed, but didnt respond. Possibly because they didnt know how to. I mean, how does one in a society that teachers racism as only ever been and is a bad thing, then someone breaks that thought process in half, its hard.
Theres a cracking bit of a film (i think called V for Vendetta) http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=6757267008400743688&q=everybody%27s+gotta
Its about 9/11 mainly, but run it on 29 mins, and theres a bit that explains partly what im onabout.
PEOPLE BELIEVE THE ILLUSION OF THE MEDIA AND THEIR POLITICAL AND SOCIAL IDEOLOGY. They DO NOT want you to think or believe, that racism can be ok, because it puts you in a more powerfull position, that they find harder to control, control you/us. Politicians cant preach “good over evil” if you think racism isnt what they want you to believe. Its not just racism, there are water shortages  YEAH RIGHT!!! No such thing my friends.
Global warming, YEAH RIGHT!!! Were killing the planet? NO WE ARE NOT!!
The iraq war is against terror, NO IT AINT, WE (BRITISH,AMERICANS ETC) ARE CAUSING TERROR.If the media have nothing of “worth” to say, we switch off, they dont have a job. If they make you BELIEVE through illusion, that water shortages are a big story, you stay tuned.
They make you think that racism is only bad, because your shocked by it, shock (illusion) SELLS. The facts are, that racism can be ok, that dont sell well.
Imagine if we didnt agree with “normal” political and social ideology? Then the media illusion would have to change.
Neil tennant of the pet shop boys said on thursdays bbc1 “this week”, the early eighties (pop music) were about the “agressive individual”. He said, there was a community spirit back then.
On the flip side, from the mid eighties to now, weve become less agressive, less individual, more professionalised (pop idol), money is power.
The media have sold us the illusion that having the individuality to think for ourselves is wrong. We listen to them, they have our attention, we buy what they sell us, we dont argue against them, weve lost faith in the community spirit.
See how easy it is to sell an ilegal war, EVEN THOUGH A MILLION PEOPLE MARCHED IN PROTEST AND THE MEDIA SHOWED IT TO US, we were still illusionised to believe the war is justifiable.
JUSTIFIABLE??? Dont worry, its just an illusion
Do you really believe all the things you said? Are you really that mad? There’s so much nonsense in your post that I don’t know where to start.
Imagine if there were only 3 people left on the planet – A 30 yr old white man, A 20 yr old black woman and an 80 yr old white woman. If the man has to choose a mate he’s going to pick the black woman, not the white woman. Even if the 2 women were closer in age, if the black woman was fit and attractive and the white woman was 22 st., unhealthy and very plain then again the man would choose the black woman. So race wouldn’t be a factor when the man has to make a decision. That is natural selection, that is instinctive and that is human nature. Racism is not natural, it is learnt behaviour.
As for no global warming, not killing the planet and no water shortages, you must be on crack.
20 May, 2006 at 11:20 pm #218444racism is normal, im a racist apparently.

Mr Big:
I like your “3 people left on earth” analogy. I am getting confused as to whether this argument is about racism or etymology. I said earlier that I thought racism was partly “natural”. I am not an educated man so maybe chose my words incorrectly. I meant it had been common behaviour since humankind first evolved.
I am replying to your post because I am interested in the concept of the difference between “natural selection and “learned behavour”. When does learned behaviour become natural? In the example you give, surely it is “learned behaviour” which makes the man understand that his best chances of breeding are with the Black woman? Am I being stupid?
PS I don’t agree with Emmalush either on most points.
I take “natural” to mean something that’s instinctive. Learnt behaviour can become like 2nd nature but I wouldn’t call it natural per se. The idea of survival of the fittest is instinctive behaviour in all creatures I think. It’s not something that needs to be taught, so I assume that in a scenario like the one I gave the man would instinctively go for the younger and fitter choice. Men and women are drawn towards young, fit, attractive partners and I think that’s down to human instinct. They may not always choose that type of partner but I think that’s because they’ve learnt that they don’t need to follow their primal instinct. Well, that’s my interpretation of it anyway. I’m no expert. So going back to the original point of this thread I would say that racism is unnatural.
21 May, 2006 at 1:02 am #218446As humans we tend to give everyone a chance. When someone does something against us we start looking for labels.
Racism is definitiley not a natural phenomenon.21 May, 2006 at 1:14 am #218447@Lambrini Girl wrote:

Racism is definitiley not a natural phenomenon. When someone does something against us, we first look for reason, before we look for label …. the label only come if no reason can be found.
I refer to the perpetrators of anti-social behaviour in my area as ‘little weasels’.
I can easily see how others might label wrongdoers in a racist fashion.22 May, 2006 at 8:05 am #218448I don’t agree with much Emma spouts off – I do agree with whoever wrote before about “ism” becoming totally unrealistic
Mr Bigs scenario is almost as silly as he is – he talks about Emma picking and choosing points to back up her arguments – as she does – disregarding all the other points – then he comes up with a 3 people left in the world scenario – get real Biggy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Emma all over – she picks up on the one website or press cutting that supports her ideology and ignores the thousands of others that tell it how it really is.
What have i ignored? All ive done is express the ways in which we all are racist from time to time. Your problem is, you dont like the truth, because the truth upsets your brainwashed ideology of society. You’d prefer we all think all racism is very very bad.
So there is NO water shortage, eh? Did you read that somewhere, Emma? The water companies want us to use less water so that they can earn less profits for their shareholders, I suppose?
Take a look outside?
Take a look at the world map, its 2/3’s water.
Why dont water companies prevent leaks, leaks that cost us more water per person, than we use.
Now they want to charge us double. Time to buy shares in water companies me thinks. There is NO global warming, eh? I suppose a professor or someone said that somewhere? Great, lets all start smashing our fridges up in the back garden this weekend and release some more ozone. Yippee! Roll on summer!
EVERY 100,000 years or so, we get to a situation globally like we have. In 50,000 years or so, they’ll be ice age.
Racism is GOOD for you – of course it is! I can guess where you picked that one up from.
Make ANY sense mr belfast
the mouth of a well-known lunatic English fundamentalist.
FASCIST!
Anyway, I see that English cricket team picked a chap in a turban? Wot’s all that about ffs??? I thought everyone had to come from Yorkshire??? Or is that Rugby League?
Why the racism mr belfast :D YOU RACIST, but your not a bad person

How does it feel to be racist from time to time?
OF COURSE I’m racist (in the “bad” sense of the word) from time to time. One of the things I DO agree with you about is that it is fairly natural for human beings to be that way.
How does it feel to be racist in a good way?

So you never believe in the specific chracteristic, ability or policy of a group of people, who share a common feature??? Your having a larrrrrf.
I suspect the crack is keeping you from admitting the truth in your life

There is no such thing as racist in a “good” way. The current meaning of the word “racism” is negative. It means assuming NEGATIVE attributes for an individual based on what we “know” about their ethnic background, culture etc.
Whats bad and/or negative about believing in the specific chracteristic, ability or policy of a group of people, who share a common feature???
The definition you are quoting is very specific, and NOT the meaning which every normal human being gives the word.
Im not distancing myself from the other meanings…im not saying this one is the only one.
We as a collective society generally only think racism is bad, when infact its harmless and bad.How does it feel, to know you are racist from time to time, and still be classed as nice?
If I were to say I was “gay” would you think I was happy and carefree? or would you think I liked shagging members of my own sex? There, THAT plain enought for you?
EH???
