How would you look at it if one of yours was murdered?
Our prison system is failing/overflowing so a life for a life would help there.
I think if its 100% that they done the crime they have giving up there right for life.

nope, with possibly some exceptions.
We’ve had examples of innocent people being hanged.
Also two crimes – and killing someone is a crime whether an individual or the State does it – don’t make justice.
If someone close to me was killed, then my reaction would be that I miss them and want them back. That’s my reaction to quite a few people, younger (a lot younger, sometimes), older, contemporary, who have died.
I don’t think I’d want vengeance, and the death penalty never really served as a deterrent.
If I did want vengeance, and many do, that’s no reason to bring back a penalty which takes away someone’s life, which replicates the original crime.
There are some occasions where the death penalty may be considered, but damned difficult to draw up a general rule, and the Law tends to demand general rules for its penalties.
Prison doesn’t deter anyone so scepticals point about capital punishment not being a deterrent is a nonsense when table tennis , pool and talking selfies on smuggled in mobile phones are the order of the day in jails.
Child killers should get executed , rapists castrated and thieves have their hands removed .. no messing around on courses or ” rehabilitation”. That said not all murderers are intrinsically evil, if I caught a burglar in my house I wouldn’t give second thought to cutting their throat. Jails need reforming instead of a watered down pontins holiday camp .. I’ve witnessed myself the inmates boasting about how long they have in yards with “I’ve only got x amount of time wish it was longer mate” rolled out on more than one occasion. Unfortunately liberal nancys like sceptical believe these characters are being reformed doing worthless courses inside when the reality over half of ex cons re offend

I tend to agree if a love one would be loss to a murderer, I so wish the other’s demise as I may murder myself in need to retaliate with the loss…..does two wrongs make it right? No… But many would feel as I do angry…want to murder..natural instinct presume.
Am aware some have gone to jail, accussed, not the person and have suffered as well falsely accused. I would not want to be a jury member to decide on the fate of others or put a verdict in as absolutely guilty. Death penalty sentence…..whom are we, or I, to decide ones life?
Today however, the evidence of DNA has 99 percent been able to provide more evidence and accurate information as to the one found guilty.
I only hope and pray I not be in that boat.
