You sound like a male muslim to me with that response of yours.

She was found guilty of adultery. Holding hands with a man is considered adulterous in Iran.Being a Muslim would make me a male, A Muslimah on the other hand would make me a female. What on earth the persuasion of my faith has to do with this you might like to enlighten me. Failing that, non-sense describes your point. She was aware I am sure of the penalty for her actions living in that country. If she committed a crime against the law of that land, she should be willing to accept the penalty.
We can discuss for ever and a day, the rights and wrongs of Sharia law, a subject that requires vast knowledge which I certainly do not hold. The fact remains SHE broke a law.
If I was to rob someone in the street, I am aware that I could face prison if convicted. I could hardly cry about it having been caught. There are many laws in this country i despise, it wouldn’t sway the case against me one jot should i protest to the Judiciary.
Perhaps if you can give the source of your information and where it can be verified might help matters along a bit. WOOOPZ :wink:4 November, 2010 at 5:50 pm #451791@sarah 30 wrote:

She was found guilty of adultery. Holding hands with a man is considered adulterous in Iran.Yes it is.
In some parts of the world holding drugs …the smallest amount is enough to get you the death penalty… and in some parts of the world its legalised.
Although “unethical”, “immoral” , “Inhumane”, “unfair”, by other standards… Iran also has the right for their people to adhere to their laws regardless of what you or I may perceive as an acceptable definition of adultery.
We cannot just take one countries laws and shout FOUL…if that were the case… if that was to work without further hatred spread…free of racism and bias…. then many other countries including the deluded lands of which I wont mention…. would need and must immediately review their laws. There is a bigger picture here… this is clearly not about one woman’s injustice. There will be more and more media coverage on “Evil Iran” in time… and we will watch humanities sheeple fall into their false protest of so called justice that needs to be brought to Iran’s people! All too predictable, all too common. (in my humble opinion) :)
“You sound like a male Muslim to me with that response of yours.” :?sounded to me more like … Committed the crime .. pay the time?
