Today its a woman in work.
There is a campaion over here called “Shave or Dye” and the slogan is “You Never Look Stupid Fighting Cancer”
Today 5 men and 1 woman got their heads shaved (fully) for this cause in front of the entire building, memebers of the public and the newspapers.
It took guts from all esp from Caroline who fair play went from long bloned hair to a tight no. 2 all over.
Cancer is something that WILL effect most peoples lives if not all in one way or an other.
There are a few women in the other building who have dyed their hair illuminus pink and a few others who went bright green.
€5832.00 for the Irish Cancer Society was raised by my work mates who took part in the Shave or Dye campain this year.

The fact that women actually take international woman’s day seriously and try to use it to celebrate women’s achievements just highlights the inferiority of women. International mens day is laughed at and dismissed by the majority of men because we don’t feel the need to celebrate ourselves since being superior and achieving is so normal to us. Lol @ women.
I don’t think it’s about superiority. I think it’s more about being able to celebrate the fact that your future girlfriend/wife can now work and help you pay bills, your future girlfriend can be an intellectual, a functional being, opposed to a smiling v a g i n a.
Men are generally higher on the intellectual and physical scale, but this day… in no way removes appreciation for the male, it simply is congratulating society for progress and evolution.
So don’t worry BadBoy, I am in no hurry to replace your duty as a male and take out the garbage :P
12 February, 2013 at 1:57 pm #490301Women’s position in society has sadly gone backwards in recent years, as the right to sexual freedom and expression has become the obligation to flaunt it and be available. So much for celebrity culture. There are strong female scientists, business women, political leaders and athletes but (Olympics aside) we hear very little of them.
International Women’s Day has a long and proud tradition dating back to the Russian Revolution (and before if you include the US national women’s day). We don’t need a special day for men who feel threatened by all of this.

As a man I don’t feel threatened. I have no desire to be a “real man”, restricted by old fashioned sexual politics and stuck in stale old roles, bringing in the bacon, not showing emotions and “being in charge” of everything, while missing out on family life.
I come from a family of strong women, who I admire hugely for their intelligence, careers and hard work, as well as supporting their families. My favourite and most inspirational boss was also a woman.
I’ll take the rubbish out, but I want to cook, look after the children in the extended family and iron my own shirts too, thank you very much. At the same time, I expect people without testicles to be able to change a fuse.
I don’t care if sisters are doing it for themselves or for everyone, as long as they are doing it and making a difference.
