    Sad but true. I do think in these instances the courts should offer an explenation but that’s probably asking too much.

    In fact the Courts DO offer an explanation to the extent that all such proceedings are held in public and more often than not journalists are present who can report to the public.

    But you see this type of report doesn’t sell newspapers does it?

    Sun readers (assuming that they CAN read) only really want the headline grabbers so that they can all foam at the mouth with self-righteous indignation. All they can manage is a few empty but bloodcurdling threats about all the things they’d like to do to such people and so boring on and so boring forth.

    Most of ’em are too bloody fat to even get off the sofa – much less wreak their so called revenge on a stranger.

    Don’t be too hard on the Sun – it does have Hagar The Horrible, Striker and that sHiT one. Plus the letters page is good for a laugh:

    ‘WE can’t trust Government, now we can’t trust the TV crews. Who can we trust?’ – Anon.

    That’s one of the more serious letters on display.
