Lately measles has become popular again through lack of parents letting their children have their MMR. My 2 girls had it as i think its more dangerous to not let them have it. My oldest had the worst case of chickon pox i have seen all in her hair eyes mouth and her little girl bits she was in agaony and to top it caught sickness and “quick poo” as she puts it. My youngest picks up virus very easy but luckily nothing more than that. Whooping cough and measles are making a come back though which is worrying.
becky before my lass’s pox came through she was sick prior 2 days before hand and have the ole runny shytes’ seemly its part of pox… plus the fever … but i must admit that wifes tale of bathin them in oatmeal… works…. takes the iche away for hours… lol but make sure its oatmeal and not porriage oats…. lol pickin porriage oats out of one’s child hair is painfull lol….
10 August, 2006 at 8:19 pm #234580I know what you mean MJ – my eldest went 6 years never catching anything, then all of a sudden this year he got chickenpox, sickness bug, tonsillitis and even a mild case of scarlet fever :?
Even the wee one picked up the chickenpox at 7 months….still, at least that’s it over and done with.
Must be a bad year for Illnesses :)

we have a family at the top of the hill and 2 at the bottom of the hill inwhich lets say their Mothers should be taken and taught hygiene, and you should check your kids hair…!!! the 3 families are always Nit Infested…… now I can’t stop my lass playin with them, but i draw the line to them from comin into the hoose…!!! and my lass’s hair is always tied up and i take the bone comb thru her hair every nite when i wash it…. and im touchin wood… so far so good…. i havent had to deal with that…..
