Julius Dixson Sr, who wrote the brilliant Lollipop for The Chordettes in the 50s, starved to death at a Manhattan hospital, according to a lawsuit his family have just filed. They claim he lost his dentures after an operation on his hip, and that staff refused to give him food that he didn’t need to chew, so he wasted away and died.

They could have at least gave him a lolipop to suck on, he still had his gums!!
