What would your chosen specialist subject be? I would go for British Comedy from the years 1950 -2000. I was brought up with The Stand Up Comedians on T.V including Jim Bowen. good question mr q I don’t think id be any good on that show the lights magnuses stern face that imtidating leather chair I just no id go to jelly however if given the choice my subjects would be eastern European tickets in the 199os or identifying pies from any bakers in south Bristol I never saw anyone win a caravan or sodastream on mastermind bullseye now your talking id be much better on that or family fortunes if pushed bullseye probably better I avoid the spelling part of the board

The subject I would choose would be My Life As I Have Seen It.
Mastermind is not what it used to be. I loved the obscure subjects chosen by obvious headcases. I remember one guy had chosen Japanese Sea Battles 1267-1398. He looked like a kamikaze pilot, had a permanently toothy grin whihc indicated insanity, and got all the questions right. I was applauding and laughing with the best of them.

Funny enough sceptical Guy…Magnus was on T.V last night in a documentary from 1965 where he was rowing a Viking Ship. The program was in fact about Vikings and among other things, the ships they built were fit for all purposes. Shallow hull for beaching and great speed. Apparently they could reach 30 knots in them. Awesome! Apparently, they did 1000 mile journeys or more but where did they store the food etc as there were about 150 men on board and there wasn’t a lot of space left to store any thing? Perhaps it was their hunger that kept them going?
