Hugs ive a bit of a dilemma ive just left the betting shop and I heard two men swearing!
Should I ignore them? shut the bookies down? write a letter to my mp?

I understand your frustration, Jamie.
JC can be a pretty upsetting site for all of us, with a lot of personal abuse and nasty games played.
But I’ve always regarded you highly, and others do too.
Actually, I haven’t always regarded you highly lol. When I first came online, when you were moon, I thought you were impossible. But gradually I realised the person beneath the incoherent rage, but slowly I began to see a good person fighting alcohol, and a lot of your contributions here are valued, again not just by me.
So if you can’t return, good luck with your new site and the very very best with your life.
I hope you do keep coming back and ignore all the negative side of jc.

- When users report other members, action is taken. I am unable to respond to individual complaints with additional information — but warnings and/or bans do happen in response to user complaints.
- Yes, we need more Guides. However, to have more Guides, we need more users to volunteer as Guides.
- The problem with guest users goes back years. I have asked the JC community a number of times whether we should close all forums (or certain forums) to guest users. The response is always a resounding ‘no’. Has this changed of late?
- We have taken steps to make it a bit more difficult for anonymous users to abuse the chat rooms, but it is impossible to make this foolproof due to the anonynimity of the internet. The only foolproof option is to block all guest users from the chat forums and force all users to be registered (paid) members to access them.
- If you see personal information or abusive content posted on the boards or in the chat, report it. I do act on all these reports — do not assume that because I do not reply to them, I am not taking action ‘behind the scenes’.

I would assume maintaining any site location for chatting has difficulty as well as staff on payroll.. or volunteers.
As a newbie while back not familiar with chat sites..I did come here to become familiar with those who lived in the UK.. my goal many will recall to become better familiar as I would be travelling to the region.
I admit I made some mistakes..learned..but decency prevailed as taking private information..shared confidences..not disclose openly..kept it private.. nor did I use for retaliation openly in revenge..anger..exposed in rooms for all to read…
However, defensive mechanism often pushed buttons in which sadly and sure all can say here..we fight back at those comments. Iggy..well those who wish to be entertained..not going to talk behind my back. Ignore..difficult when have more than 1 go after you. Leave a bit..still around.
It is my belief..opinion..that too many numbers are able to change and come back. Think should be limitation. Not sure how if not paying or paying. There must be some common factor that can be caught to have that ability in few one day or few hours that resign in. I think site owners can follow or know traffic of users who come in and when. Perhaps this to be looked into.
I agree at many of times I personally said hell with it..but truthfully..I have enjoyed many of the GOOD FOLK HERE AT JC IN WHICH I FEEL BUILT UP A NICE RELATIONSHIP WITH. Yes I know used all caps..Reason. many good people here. Why cart disrupted because of bad apples..
For those whom left..comment now they in a better place..site..good for you..Why hope a place you once enjoyed be destroyed.. where is your loyalty to those whom provided you some real nice chat and pleasures?
For those who sticking it out..hopefully it will get better again. Can not be management alone to make a success..it is the effort of the whole team…that means JC CHATTERS TOO..

Unfortunately this is not all correct.
Martin does not always act and that is why he has let his site get into the situation it is now.
I have in the past reported.
Both Merlin and Callmepuds for posting porn clearly against the rules and neither have been banned.
I have reported Rudeboy/TheNorfolkMafia for posting both personal information and death threats and nothing was done about it.
Yes the reason you don’t bother to reply is because you don’t do anything and can’t be bothered.
MARTIN UNTIL YOU DO SOMETHING THEN THIS SITE WILL REMAIN A SITE THAT NOONE WILL USE.
At the time of writing Forum 1 Empty, Forum 2 Five in but only 2 chatting. Forum 3 Six in and no one chatting.
Martin you can officially say your site is now dead.
I sent you a message days ago showing the site I am now using. I suggest you check it out and see how a proper chat site is run.

Not true hugs sorry people are using it more so in the evenings maybe the quiz is still up and running and lots of people still enjoy it
yes there are plenty of chatters that have left for whatever reason and gone on to other chat sites maybe they are better who knows? i guess that is down for them to decide
Just chat is simple just one of many choices people now have to pick from i guess
i know people moan about it being nasty and vile and not staffed with enough guides etc yet they are still chatting here, and even you felt the need to post in reply to this thread for whatever reason
Martin how can we have multiply guests with the same number in at the same time?
Why can some guests posts links with porn etc yet other guests cant posts links at all ?
why do you think you aren’t getting people volunteering to be guides or the right people in your opinion because i know of several people who have applied and have heard nothing back from you ?

I spent 3 hours last night in f3. 2 chatters numbers 121..166..spent hours having conversation writing about several people here.. I know..I engaged..I went after both. I stood up for those not here over accusations who shared what accounts..who I am..supposedly..cosy..milky..Ge.. (sorry GE).. many names . Some personal information about 1 or 2..way too much. Go back..11/1..look pages of it.. your time started at 3 am… I stayed..I read. All a game. As it started with 5 people in f3 when I came in..who ever in never spoke but me mostly with those 2 numbers. Later in morning reached 8 people I went in this area as well. Only 3 people typed..basically number 121.166.me..no one else got involved. Supposed read..it was bull..some personal..and was used for attention seeking.
I surely hope with hours of junk..that who ever observing this site can track down those 2..or 1.
How dare you hugs..or any of us..send another site to any owner and give them a site suggestion. Martin active and created it..that was 1999. Some time ago. You think if this site did well the owner would not continue to get growth in his business and do more than just solely sit in one place. Any smart business man will continue to grow and invest..not put eggs in one basket. You hugs really are missing some wiring some where..

Unfortunately what I have typed is true 20-30 in a room at night is not good figures. When I started here rooms had 200 in and you had to wait to get in.
The site I am now using will have at least 80 in during the day and over a hundred more in the evenings.
I can answer why guest are able to post links.Its because of the outdated software Martin is using.
If you look closely to how these links are put in the rooms you will see how it is done.
I will not say here how it is being done though as all it will do is at add to this problem.
On the reason why Martin hasn’t selected any new guides its because guides are selected by guides and hosts or were when Martin had some.
If Martin was to come into the rooms more often then he would see for himself who is and who is not suitable.
I applied years ago and was rejected on the say so of one guide. Strange though as the guide at that time did very little guiding and was not a guide for long.
I suggest you should apply, though there is very little left here to guide now.
