Ian blair the commisiner of police in london has escaped yet again, after a vote of no confidence. he has stated yet again he will not resign his post even when it became aparrent he deliberateley attempted a cover up in the following days after the menezes debacle. today it turns out that the female officer in charge of the armed officers got lost and sat in the wrong office for almost a full hour awaiting calls and intelligence from the officers on the tail of the suspected terrorist. A mistake which resulted directly in the second officer giving permission to shoot. this woman should be sacked immediateley. she as far as im concerned is directly responsible for the death of the illegal immigrant that was killed, by the officers on the ground, while she sat on her fat backside waiting for her minnions to bring her coffee and talked on a second phone for fifteen minutes to a family member….. what the hell was she thinking. this man was being hunted down and she knew he was about to be killed but she sat there like the queen because she couldnt bring herself to ask where her advisors were, when they were all sat in an office further along the corridor. then to cap it all ian blair says it wasnt anyones fault as we are all human. well ive never known a surgeon get away with murder because his theatre assistants were in a different theatre, [if you get the picture]. the arrogance of these so called public servants is astounding.if you or i made a decision at work that ended in the death of someone i think the end would have been veeeeery different.

I was put in mind of a tragic accident a year or so ago when a National Express coach overturned on a slip road and several passengers were killed. Witnesses had said that the coach was being driven dangerously prior to the accident and the driver was subsequently convicted of causing death by dangerous driving.

Were there calls for the resignation of the chairman and chief executive of National Express and those of the relevant sub-contractor?

If you are head of a large organisation, sooner or later something bad will happen on your ‘watch’. The bigger the organisation, the more likely this is to happen.
