Tonight my son took charge of the training session that was organised for our football team.
Although I don’t play for the team anymore (I’m too good for them) I went down anyway and joined in.
He did an excellent job and the whole team were impressed with him.
He’s only 16 and is studying football coaching at college.I’m really proud of him but not so much when he dispossessed me during the kickabout tonight.
The best part had to be when he was barking out orders on the megaphone.
All in all a great night.25 September, 2008 at 9:49 pm #375548Nice one, good lad. Give him a “well done son”clip round the bonce from me.
My eldest surprised me today. All his life he has wanted to be a policeman. he is now undecided between policeman and PE teacher… Id much rather him be a teacher, but Im shocked as he said “Im keeping my options open mum”.
Like Ive not been saying he should the last 14 years?!
da dum!

Consider the clip round the ear done shaz.
It only seems like yesterday I was teaching him to ride his bike ffs.I have to say I think teaching would be a more enjoyable option than police work.
If he’s as sports mad as he sounds then he’ll love it.25 September, 2008 at 10:03 pm #375550not as sports mad as the youngest, he’s more of an academic head on his shoulders, whereas the youngest is more sporty, its difficult really.
They must make their own choices and we will encourage what they choose. I was more surprised as ive said look at other options and he makes out he thought it up himself to keep his options open lol, typical teenagers lol.
Whatever he does, he will make me proud.
He is a moderator on a few teen forums on the net covering various subjects.
He would put this shower to shame I tell ya.
