Sorry, no, I realized it wasn’t aimed at me, I was just kind of reiterating that I also find some of Somers comments very distasteful and have said so, wish he’d tone it down and not bring ppls personal life and history into arguments. It’s all grand if you have info on someone, given you by .3rd parties and choose to use it to score points, but careful someone doesn’t dig up dirt on you ! Or better still you could do what others on here choose to try and do , plant seeds about people, just random nasty slurs, knowing full well there are arseholes here who will run with it and before you know it it’s a JC fact ! People who do that are low , really low !!

I agree and of course I know you have confronted him in the past. Somer however isn’t the only one who is at it and Somer won’t be the last, although in his case his homophobic abuse has in fact been going on for years. You see, when you take a step back from it then you see it, all of it, exactly for what it is. It is no good targetting one particular individual like Somer when there are so many others still at it. It can’t be one rule for one and one rule for another and nor should it be and that’s where I stand on it.
Certain individuals never stop, they never pause, they never take stock, they are incapable of change and pulling Somer up on it now won’t change that one bit.
I take your point but I personally feel better about myself for voicing my opinion on the homophobic comments and the general vulgarity of some posts, it may be a waste of time but I’d hate, by not voicing my distaste, ppl to think I condone, or worse still agree with them. I’m not going to mention any names here but you can see that last night someone tried to paint me as something I am not, hoping that if they sling enough mud some will stick, it’s nasty tactics and shows them up more than me in my opinion.
Anyway , back to work. I loathe and detest night shifts !!! I’m just rubbish at them, luckily I don’t have todo many …. between 4 and 5 am is the worst, by half 6 I’m getting a second wind, by the time I’m home and walked the dog I’m wide a bloody wake and can’t get off to sleep !! How people do them regularly I just don’t get !!! Any tips from night workers ??? Pleeeaaassseeeee !!!!

My solution to nights which may well just be stating the obvious. A fan if it is warm and kept on to circulate air, a small humidifier is even better to keep the air cool and fresh. A good quality blackout eye mask and good quality ear defenders. A light carb heavy meal to induce sleep works wonders as well.
Yea… I have a fan on most nights anyway … hot stuff? Just Mediterranean moments
I also have the eye mask and ear muffs, I look like a frickin blue bottle, not tried eating, tiredness makes me nauseous but I’ll give it a go. Ta !!

Oh, the days of the Gay Liberation Front! I remember joining a demo of the GLF against (young) Cliff Richard (aka Maudie), joining hordes of Christian fundamentalists and trying to get a sing-song of Summer Holiday to break up the gospel singing in the queue.
Cliff seemed all right. He met up with GLF reps and denied totally that he was gay. Nobody believed him, but …who knows?
I learn that it’s not worth talking about gay rights and gay marriage in my Church. You persuade nobody, and it leads to a lot of bad feeling. A lot of Christians are swine when it comes to LGBT.
