Elderly man who collapsed at bus stop revived by paramedics and  receives a free pacemaker yes me

Ambulances were called to Blatchington Road at about 1.40pm when the man had a cardiac arrest at the bus stop and collapsed looking like a bin liner of old clothes.

Two ambulances and two paramedic cars were sent to the scene, and police also attended as the medics tried to revive him, police described the man to have smelt like a pee stained abattoir.

One passer-by said: “Emergency services were performing CPR in the bus stop on Blatchinton Road this afternoon for ages. I can’t stop thinking about it, they were working so hard. I hope they were successful.”

Then spotted it was the man that had stole my chopper.

A spokesman for South East Coast Ambulance Service said: “Ambulance crews in two ambulances and two cars attended the scene following reports a man had collapsed in cardiac arrest.

“The man was resuscitated but still in a very serious condition when taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital where he was then fitted with a ” waterproof ” pace maker

“We would like to thank anyone who stopped to help the man at the scene.”
