I loved the 19 70s when we enjoyed long hot summers and lions maid.i hated the 19070s when the ira were when the ira ready to kill with nails and bolts.
I loved the 1970s when sweet had a ball room glits, and the and noddy had mirrors.
I loved the 11970s when the sun shone fore ever and I left school.
I hate the 70s when the Iron Lady ruled, she took our milk and gave her bull.
I loved the 70s ,when young mens hair was long and smelled of head and shoulders.
I loved the 70s when when we walked about with our Oxford bags road sweepers, and had tartan scarfs and socks.
I hated the seventies when ,real men fought for there jobs down the pit.
I loved the seventies, when my ma and da were young enough to be king and queen.
I loved the seventies when I bounced and skipped through life.
I hated the 70s when the shop keeper demanded the tick money.
I loved the 70s when we got by, it was a love that you and I cared.
I loved the 70s,why don’t we go back, we have had a bump.

2 June, 2017 at 11:33 am #104857116 became the school leaving age at some point in the early 1970s, I think.
It was supposed to come in under Harold Wilson’s Labour government, but was postponed by the financial situation.
Given the levels of literacy and numeracy in this country today, I wonder whether it made any difference!
I’m not saying we should put back school leaving age here, for those looking for morsels to chew over (apologies to Jamie for capturing her image)
2 June, 2017 at 12:26 pm #1048594I hated school from the very first day.I remember being put in to class with my bag of beef and onion crisps for play time.I screamed the place down .
I loved the learning but hated the situation.
How ever I was determined my kids would not be like me and encouraged there schooling, they loved school.
Lol after primary schools scoffed most of the time.I couldn’t in primary as the dominie would have came looking for me and he would have found me too.
Na my school days were not the best days of my life.
