Just a thought,,,,,,,,,,
For those of you who disagree with the popular opinion here that these parents are totally and completely responsible for the dissapearance and possible demise of their daughter. I’d suggest that you google and take a look at the face of Ben Needhams mother. There you will fing REAL! grief, even 15 years on.
9 January, 2008 at 11:43 am #302096I agree, Cas.
I do genuinely believe the mother killed the child; but I also do believe it was accidental.
If she had owned up in the beginning I’d have been less judgemental of her, as it was an accident. But spending all this money in “trying to find her”, dragging us all along for the ride is just pure sick, she’s gone in the head. What she is doing is not right, it’s sort of spitting on the daughter’s grave.
Making a film about it is just.. well.. it’s not even worth getting angry over. Instead of spitting glass, we should be disappointed in the media and society in general for allowing such a thing to happen.
9 January, 2008 at 3:09 pm #302097The Usual Suspects spewing out the same old rubbish about Kate McCann emotions etc. Thinking they’re all Behavoural experts.
It’s a Documentary anyway, not a Movie. If they want to keep the Search going they’re going to have to find new revenue sources.

Ohhhhhh it’s a documentary now, oh well thats all right then eh
Smileys absolutely spot on with a lot of what she said BM, and us, who I presume to be the ”Usual Suspects” are equally as entitled to our opinion as are you.
Do tell us BM what this same old rubbish is,,,,,,,,,
9 January, 2008 at 5:26 pm #302099So what’s the problem then? All the money made will go straight into the find Maddie campaign.

It,s the principal of the thing BM, can you not see that? They are supposed to be grieving parents, and here they are discussing maddie the movie, ffs. It,s just beyond belief. What Mrs McCann SHOULD be doing, is answering those 40 questions she refused to answer. She,s got “nothing to hide”, apparantly, so what is she afraid of? The pair of them make me sick. They arn,t fit to raise animals, let alone kids.

There is no principle. Unless you want them to go out busking to raise the cash this seems to be their only way to get it.
There have already been a few Documentaries about it on TV. This will be the same, except it will provide money for the search to go on.
Would you be far happier for the Documentary not to go ahead, and the Search to be called off?9 January, 2008 at 6:08 pm #302102they could try selling their big fancy house…after all they only need 3 bedrooms now.
9 January, 2008 at 7:27 pm #302103can i just say…((ooh er im gonna be shot down ere) I think they are actually Innocent !
and IF my child went missing id try EVERY FECKING trick in the book !
be it a Movie or Documentary.
Just an opinion, thats all! I still have faith “they” will find her.
9 January, 2008 at 7:32 pm #302104As usual the media and the idiots on here have this down as the next hollywood blockbuster.
ANYWAY, here’s the actual facts, in case anyones interested….
Madeleine McCann’s parents have denied reports they are planning to make a movie about her disappearance. Writing on his online blog, Madeleine’s father Gerry McCann said speculation about a film deal was “simply untrue”.
However, he did confirm there had been talks with a production company about making a documentary on the couple.
He said projects were assessed to see if they could help find Madeleine, who disappeared in Portugal, just before her fourth birthday, last May.
Each proposal is considered on whether it is likely to have a positive effect, either directly or indirectly on the search for Madeleine.”
So, there is no film and no documantary.
END OF.
