ffs shaz sounds awful chick, what have the docs said about how long it will take to heal etc?

6 weeks maximum (although symptoms can run for years after), and if it is still bad then I may have to have the Xray and prodding which I really dont want for obvious reasons! Its up to me when I feel like going to work. I will see what Im like on Sunday and figure whether I can be getting up and down all day from my chair in the office. At home its ok cos its at my leisure, I can do it how I want, but at work its different as we have a public counter, and Its busy.

    Too early to tell yet.

But I cant do too much daytime TV…

    Ouch Sharon!

My Mum fractured hers when she slipped down some stairs. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it took her months before she could sit comfortably.
Mind you she’s a bit older than you so hopefully you’ll heal quickly.

Cheers Catz, my mum did the same, years ago on the stairs. I remember her doing it. She says it never really goes completely and she is still nervous about getting on a bike all these years on.

    Bloody bums eh.

Awww Shaz, i know how painful it is, whilst camping last year I did the same thing, I was drunk, we were with friends, a prank was played (they pulled my chair away when I went to sit down), I was in so much pain, I ended up at A&E on the tuesday as I couldn’t toilet properly (wet myself 6 times) and couldn’t move, I had a fractured coccyx. They thought I might have other damage but luckily it was only that. Better than spinal damage. Did the doc insert his finger up ya bum? Did me, Urgh, wouldn’t of minded but he wasn’t the best looking doctor I’ve seen.

I also had a bruised coccyx whilst pregnant, horrid!

Rest up and take tramadol, paracetamol and Ibrofen. 8) I hope you’re feeling better soon. xxx
