Today I delivered some cattle to Liverpool , On the back doors of alot of vans I saw it read
“Hows my Driving call 0800 ??? ???”So imagine that your driving along & some nutter in a van pulls out in front of you & cuts you up , your on your own & your fuming , you read this sign & then you start to dial , next thing Blue Lights are Flashing & you get done £60-00 for using you mobile while driving …..
Should`nt the signs be taken off the back of these vehicles for safety on our roads ?

These signs were used before the days of mobile phones so I don’t think it was ever the intention that following drivers mobiled a call back to the company. I don’t suppose anybody ever calls these numbers about good driving anyway. We are all supposed to be good drivers, especially heavy goods drivers and bus drivers. This is what is expected of us. We rarely notice good driving from outside a vehicle, it’s the norm, it’s only bad driving that stands out.

fancy taking cattle to liverpool its is full of old cows as it isAh right, i thought it was a quiz by the company.. HOW AM I DRIVING? I rung up and said, maybe it’s because you passed your test!
Think it’s a bit silly really..
You’re bound to get idiots who are going to ring up and say that the driver did this, or the driver did that, when he/she have done nothing wrong.
How to get your own back on lunatic white van drivers:
If you see a white van with the 0800 number on …. call it and tell them that the driver was acting like a complete idiot and driving dangerously…. get the bugger sacked – who knows, one day you might get Ugo !!!
ugo you need to understand pet, that when it asks “hows my driving” it isnt an instruction for you to follow. its just a reminder, that you can complain should the driver be acting like a tw*t. you know the sort. on the phone gobbing off instead of driving safeley to the car boot sales. :wink:

Doubt it Moron , Mine just has “Ugo`s Removals ” ” Ugo We Move You ” on it oh & my Mobile which is 0800 ??? ???? :lol: :lol: :lol:I can’t believe I saw a driver at traffic lights who was chatting on his mobile and didn’t move off when the lights went green. The driver behind was hooting his horn too!
With the stricter laws and all the publicity recently, didn’t this moron realise he could now be disqualified from driving for a careless act (failure to observe a traffic signal) while using a hand-held mobile?
We do have something similar on the back of all our work vans.
I think we have had one call in the last 8 years about this, someone was moaning that one of our vans was “driving too slow” on single lane road full of sharp bends and zigg-zags out near Lewis.
The our guy was doing about 25 miles per hour and the moaning moron pointed out it was 60 mile per hour speed limit and he was late for work because of our van.
