I think if you have got credit card debts as well i dont think you have to pay em if your out of work. I found that out after it was to late they try and fob you off but it comes under some hardship thing.

thanks maryj, citizens advice is a nightmare up here though, they open for 3hours a day twice a week and you have to wait from the second it opens and still unlikely to be seen…even the telephone line that is meant to be open on wednesdays from 9-12 wasn’t even open :?
am considering making a claim at jobseekers that we’ve split just so i can get some money coming in this month. things will be fine as soon as lily-ann is born, we know we can get working tax credits, he gets his student loan, i should get one, housing can be paid and we get child benefit so we’re fine…it’s just up until then we’re living on nothing and everything we check up on or apply for we’re turned down on :(

Its not the governments fault that you got yourself up the duff is it? it was your choice, you knew your financial circumstances…and now you’re literally up the creek without a paddle, and you expect the tax payers to bail you out??? You’ve laid your bed now, so you’ve got to do whatever it takes to get by..im with pikey, your bf needs to do the responsible thing and get a FULL time job to support you and his child. University and whatever will just have to wait.
I see there was no mention of your pet dog, i assume you “got rid” as he caused you an inconvenience huh?

actually, i had a job when i got pregnant and it wasn’t evan a choice…i didn’t plan it…but i guess if i came on here and said ‘unplanned pregnancy, i got an abortion’ you’d still find a reason to have a b*tch at me, no doubt about what a bad person i am(yet again!)…yes, i am asking the government for HELP, not to bail me out…i’m still getting off my butt and applying for work and trying my best not to have to ask for help but some of us aren’t lucky enough to be able to do that. as i stated before..my partner has got himself an extra job but it doesn’t start for a coupele of weeks yet so all i’ve been asking for is just a little bit of help until then…excuse me for being human and needing a helping hand!!!
as for my dog…yes, i had to ‘get rid’ of him…it was either that or allow him to be put down by an interfereing old b*tch!! it broke my heart having to give him up so don’t you f*cking dare make out i did it lightly!!!! i gave him up a month ago and not a day goes by that i don’t cry for what i had to do…but it was necessary for me and him and if you want to be a self righteous f*cker then p*ss off to someone else’s thread and do it.
Take what you can, you pay enought tax to the feckers!
