HOW MUCH TRUST

Think about this logically for one second and put tribal politics to one side.

If you bought a house in the 60, 70’s 80’s or even 90’s and it is now worth considerately more than 100k, particularly down South where house prices are far higher, then May is proposing that anything over that 100k will go towards your social care costs if you lose the “dementia” lottery, even if you remain living in your own home. They point blank refuse to reveal any actual figures until after the election. For People on modest incomes, all their wealth is likely tied up in their property. This means despite grafting all their lives to pay their mortgage and paying their taxes dutifully, their house is now worth diddly squat. For all intents and purposes the government will steal private property.

On a tribal note I will predict the future, 20 or 30 years down the line. It won’t only include dementia, it will include all long term health conditions the elderly face. The monster corporations (Virgin Care etc) that social care is outsourced to, on PFI type contracts, will ensure this happens. It is backdoor privatization of social care within the NHS. They, the corporations, will then raise their prices year on year over inflation, there won’t be any competition in the sector as it is monopolized and standards will definitely lower as already wealthy shareholders demand their slice of the pie.

Me neither….I am still undecided and probably will be until I mark that X…..A few elections ago I was also undecided and right at the last minute voted Lib Dems….purely because I knew they wouldn’t win….and maybe a few extra votes would boost their confidence lol

I saw that ‘interview’ – someone misled by the Mail smear to start harassing Harman.

The West Point Military Academy Glee Club is indeed a fitting musical group to give such a tribute to the dead of the US Armed Forces. Fair brings a lump to the throat.

I’m glad that there were some people – not just Jeremy Corbyn – who worked hard for peace in Northern Ireland. Those who once killed mercilessly – on all sides – are now (mainly) at peace.
