It would seem migrants from other countries can walk into this country on a daily basis by the hundred. Yet these men who fought for this country are up against a holy battle to have the right to remain here.

Ghurkas don’t tend to vote labour, don’t tend to become benefit junkies and don’t fit into New labours drone class, what did you expect to happen?

So democracy is not totally dead in this country after all. Though I understand that Gordon Brown was trying to stifle it in the voting lobby with his henchmen. Well done to Nick Clegg for putting forward this motion for a better deal for our Gurkhas. And well done to all those MPs that showed Gordon Brown just how wrong he was on this subject.
MPs voted by 267 to 246 in favour of the LibDem motion to extend an equal right of residence to all Gurkhas.
Look …… This is no place for political point scoring.
BTW: Gordon Brown is a complete arsehole !!!

Because they didn’t have too, before 1997 the Ghurka’s had the right to settle in Hong Kong.
whether they wanted to or not … why do people pretend any political party really gives a shit They dont even break promises they simply lie to get in power it’s not like they meant to keep any promises anyway.

they did something pete they closed the pits , the steel works basically hit the workin class ppl from the north whilst gaining massive majorities in the south by looking after the “yuppies “

Yes they did, they stopped subsidising unprofitable industries. How’d you like it if you were having to pay your neighbours rent cos they couldn’t or wouldn’t?
Nothing to do with the yuppies at all, or do you believe there are no deserving working class in the south? Why should they pay for northern industries?
