If you doubled the ingredients it aint gonna be any stronger, you’re just gonna have double the amount of ale :?

That’s not true. If you simply doubled the amount of water and hops you’d have double the amount of ale. But when you double the amount of malt and brewing sugar, you double the strength as it is the malt and sugar reacting with the malt that determines the strength.

And the length you mature it for.

And it depends what kind of beer you like, Will. I like traditional Yorkshire ale, so I’m making one of those, so to me it’ll taste nice. TO a lager lout it’ll taste horrible, like lager tastes horrible to me.

Incidentally, though, I do have a 2lb bag of light malt, which is used to make lager. My auntie likes lager so once my fermenting barrel is free I’ll slap that in and brew some lager.

What are you talking about? Blimey this board has gotten more paranoid as it has aged. Will asked me if it tasted nice, I was answering him – check page 1 I think it was near the bottom.

Crikey! You’re all so full of testosterone and needlessly hostile. It really is strange behaviour.
