It started off as a pretty little shrub

My ex hated it and wanted to cut it down but I told him he’d have to get past me first.

Ten years later its a monster

After all this rainy weather I ventured into my garden and there are baby himalayan honeysuckles sprouting up all over.

there must be thousands of seedlings, nay millions
My gravel is awash with baby green monsters

Apparently the berries, although bitter, are edible

Ideas anyone (apart from moving house)

its beautiful and much admired by passers by
in fact i’ve given cuttings to lots of people

The flowers hang downwards and are replaced by berries that resemble bunches of crimson grapes

 I could start making home made wine

Something like “round up”” or “weedol” should stop it.

You should be cutting this plant back in spring, its a nasty one and will take over your garden.

Your better off removing it and replanting it in a pot or a bin to keep its size down.

    thanks for that dead
It is seriously becoming a problem
I shall remove it and replace the crater with a pond
