rite… the twonks afore me in this house… decided to woodchip wallpaper the ceilin…..!!!
so im in the process of tryin to get it down…!!! fe ck ME…!!! it must be up with glue… ive soaked it… and soaked it…. and soaked it…. scraped it and scraped it… ohhh the woodchip off… but the bleedin backin paper stuck with mair than wallpaper paste i’ll tell ya….. its taken me 2 hrs to strip the walls…. and covin and 2 days to get aboot a third off the ceilin…!!!!
now ive soaked with warm water….. constantly…. and nowt’s happenin….
anyone got a solution….???
Help me…. Im Mary_J ….. help me oot here…… plz…..
and nae comments leave it to the MEN… thxs… im able…. but JMMOG… there should be an easyier way…. ive even tried a steel wired brush….!!!! messy btw lol

Only way we got it off was a steamer it tok ages but its better than putting water on it
duno any other ways

lol ready tripped the lecy with the amount of steam used lol….. its on the ceilin… i did try even though there was a huge sign on hte steamer not for use on ceilings…. i now know why….!!! don;t try it effin sore….!! lol

6 August, 2006 at 8:18 pm #233930Jarvis, my handyman at my Somerset estate, says you need to score it with a Stanley knife before you soak it, Mary. That should help the water penetrate and the paper should lift away much more easily.

Ive already attacked the ceilin with stanley blades….. steel wool brush….. i swear they don’t make paste like this stuff… the actuall woodchip chips are fallin aff….. but the brown backin… JMMOG……
ask Jarvis any other suggestions please…
