health and safety has gone mad is this a genuine concern for the health and safety of employees or a reaction to the claim culture we live in , the latter in my opinion

ermmmm do you want to give us a little more to respond to tictax, or is this just health and safety in general?
Is it the clowns shoes ?
Is is the gravestones???
Is it the hanging flower baskets???
Is is the primus stove cooking programme???
Is it the food mixer???
im talkin bowt health n safety in the wrk place , im in constuction , a few examples are scaffolders clippin on when off the ground at any height , lanyards 6 foot wudnt help u if u fell 2 foot , trigger times on drills , scabblers etc , some ur allowed to use for a matter of minutes only, these glasses they make us wear arent practicable , ok for those guys walkin around but when u workin they steam up causing a hazard bigger than the hazard they are used for in the first place , we remove them and are given warnings , i could go on forever , dunno if other work places are the same ????

I think you’ll find its creeping in everywhere.
I’m not going to say anything about majoritys and minoritys,,,lot of people though, over the last few years have become ambulance chasers, no sooner have they picked themselves up off the ground than theyre on the phone to one of them. So, the common sense part of health and safety is gone out the window, and some of the most stupid rules iv’e ever heard at times lol, in their place.
People are too scared now of being sued so theyre covering their arses :roll:
Health and safety and risk-averseness are good up to a point. But you often hear of ridiculous health and safety rules in some instances, but glaring gaps in others.
Like it’s illegal to leave a child under 14 alone at home, whereas it’s perfectly legal to allow a child of 6 or even younger to cycle into town on their own along a main road.
