I have just replaced the old portable TV in the guest bedroom with a new Sony bravia 20 inch TV with built in free view.
But I don’t know if this tv with get hd freeview or do I need to get sky mult room ?
I am a bit lost and confused; it’s taken me all week to buy one, 2 hours to set it up and now it seems it needs sky to work properly.
16 March, 2008 at 5:09 pm #318190Iv got that problem too…I bought a flat screen with a built in freeveiw.. and its HD ready..
but havent a clue how/why or what I have too do..I thought maybe I had to wait until
it goes over to digital, too get the HD. Bet we have to pay extra whatever the outcome. :roll:16 March, 2008 at 6:40 pm #318191You need to subscribe to sky hd channel’s. They are xtra and not part of the normal package i think. also avalible on virgin cable.Bt also do Tv via Broadband for your TV.
Did hear a rumour that the bbc are going to launch anytime soon a cable/broadband/satalite dish service which will give you access to HD programmes free of charge.
I’d wait 6 months to see what happens before you waste you money on a 12 month “we’re going to hold you to a 12 month contract even if your dead contract” with sky/virgin16 March, 2008 at 6:54 pm #318192@chickenman wrote:

or later. :wink:18 March, 2008 at 5:41 pm #318193Your terrestrial ariel will get switched off soon so you will need either a freeview box or sky.
Ive got the multiroom, and also a couple of freeview boxes and rigged it all up ready for being switched off.
In sure an inbuilt freeview tv will receive the necessary signal to carry on working.
