I tend to agree with Emma.
If this sort of thing is to be done it should be done with consent. With parents “opting in”.
To take it without their consent is illegal.
It’s a slippery slope to a Big Brother Society.
How about if someone sticks a CCTV camera in your living room Drivel. Would you be happy with that? There’s no reason why you shouldent be. You havent done anything wrong so what have you got to worry about? What a pathetically stupid moronic response BM
I’m on about criminal activity – not the sexual marathons that go on in the privacy of my living room
Are you single!

How do we know your not commiting some sort of criminal act…i think the government need to install CCTV cameras to monitor your behaviour, especially since your now trying to avoid detection. You have a nice day now

Why thank you Drivel!
How about if they stuck a minature CCTV camera in everyone’s head so they can monitor what you get up 24hrs a day.
If people aint doing anything wrong they can hardly complain. This would bring crime to zero. How could anyone possibly complain if that method wipes out crime?24 August, 2006 at 11:10 pm #237434@Tory Girl wrote:

The way I see it, the only people who fear finger printing and ID cards are people who have something to hide or are paranoid. It is not an invasion of privacy. It is a mean to keep a tighter check on people who would wish to inflict law abiding citizens harm. I cannot see anything wrong with that.
Are you going to let the government install CCTV in your home?
24 August, 2006 at 11:45 pm #237437if you had your finger prints on your own ID card , its make it hard to forge.
as for children being finger printed , lots and lots of schools have a finger print register sytem in place that the scan the finger print for each lesson, to prove their there.
so its would be easy for schools to pass on this info to the goverment if they so wanted .
I think DNA should be put in a register , all those rape victims that have never found their attackers.
people safety is important , and you can still go on about your life the same with out noticing the change , its not like your followed you every where .
just gives the police another tool to catch the really bad guys .

Gosh almighty, so just because the government introduced something whenever, its ok
Some people just WANT to be controlled.
25 August, 2006 at 12:01 am #237440The less control Governments or Authorities have over people the better.
Bush and his cronies have scrapped civil liberties, freedom’s and Democracy in the US. We dont wanna go the same way. -
