To those who will undoubtedly whinge that the boards will become somewhat anodyne or boring and the threads will be all ‘lovey-dovey’ and ‘mhahh’ riddled I will say just this:
DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT YOURSELF.
Is that really such a good idea though? As has been shown, that’s just as likely to lead to confrontation as anything else and we’ll be right back to square one.
PB hasn’t gone soft he’s just gone politically correct.
And he’s obviously been offered one of sword’s infamous “olives branches” too by the looks of it.

Fair point John. It is a fine line between confrontational posting and outright abusive posting ….. but it is a line that we are drawing here and now.
If posts get ‘out of hand’ (which has happened all too frequently recently) then they will be deleted. There is no intention to become over prescriptive or to apply some form of strict censorship over member’s views or opinions, but there is a very firm intention to stop all this nasty, aggressive, vindictive posting that the boards have suffered from of late.

As for the ”real mover & shakers” ……. well maybe you can be one of them eh?
Well I’ll certainly try to refrain from getting over defensive. That really doesn’t help anyone.

I’m sorry about your woofer’s post/thread – I didn’t delete it myself and I don’t remember what was on it so commenting constructively is kinda tough. Hopefully he/she will make a comeback appearance sometime in the future eh?

Doubt that, I was actually filling up a bit as I was writing it! I just thought it was funny to point out since it was what we’re talking about.
But then, what I think and what should actually be said aren’t always the same thing….
