I watched question time thursday 5th and there was a labour and consevative mps on the show and i swear i could,nt tell the difference between them.so i watched the conservative conference to see if i just picked up the wrong pesona ,well to my surprise it was like watching new labour and tony blairs new atemt 10years ago.
least ten years ago there were fundamental differnces between the parties but sadly now they are both singing from the same hymn book.Until the conservative leadership gets there policies into print then people are going to get turned off even more to politics. At a time when there is severe political challenges to come from foreighn policy and to social justice.tony blair wants to step aside now before he becomes a liabilaty.labour have got loads to sort out so lets stop the cheap political swipes at each other and try and get on with the job in hand .tam

New Labour did steal the middle ground from the Conservative Party, leaving the
Conservatives without policies.
They are now trying to change and make new policies to defeat Labour. The puzzling part
is, if New Labour have adopted many Tory policies, why do the Tories feel the need to
change? It’s as if they never really believed in there old policies and have to change in
order to oppose. :-s10 October, 2006 at 2:18 pm #243978@tam1969 wrote:

Theres always a labour, conservative and lib dems same old same old on there. In this show, they even had micheal howards tory wife on there. You hear the same old claptrap, nothing new, and all there looking for is a round of applause that goes there way.
Ian Hislop and such like bring a different look to the show, but how about Nick Griffin on there, can you imagine how lively it would be. I bet the viewing figure would double.
10 October, 2006 at 5:02 pm #243979Nick Griffin’s a loud-mouthed idiot and he would make himself look like a fool if he went on Question Time. I doubt he has the ability to debate with veteran politicians in front of a studio audience. They’d get under his collar and trick him into making foolish comments and no doubt he’d be hit with a barrage of boos.
Anyway, the BBC don’t just allow any old riff-raff onto Question Time. They do have some standards you know. Why give him a platform?

11 October, 2006 at 6:09 am #243981You remind me of the Tories Geoffrey; opposition for oppositions sake, but nothing
constructive to add to the debate.11 October, 2006 at 10:43 pm #243982Geoffers!!!!!!!!! howdedoo!!
