Looking through the albums
Full of smileing faces, filled of hope
So sure no matter what life brought,
As a family , we would cope.
Real life is not a Fairy Tale,
We have to write, our own script
Unfortunately, there will be times,
When there are flaws within it.
We find it so very easy
To accept strangers as friends
Yet with a family member,
For some reason patience ends.
How did petty competitions
To prove each other wrong,
Become such a priority
In a family once so strong?
It no longer seems important
To have things my own way.
Now its too late to say I’m sorry
Its too late to make amends.
You will never know how much I miss you
You taught me to appreciate
The beauty of simple things
To look for the Silver Linings
No matter what life brings.

I read the cards For Mothers
And the verses they bring tears,
For the loving words are written
For those who are still here.
You always loved the cards we sent
You saved them through the years
You said they made you feel so loved,
Your eyes glistening through your tears.
This year when I bring you flowers
In my mind your words I’ll hear
They’re beautiful, You shouldn’t have!
But I love them , thank you Darling
They say you’re in a better place
I hope and pray its true,
But today is your Birthday
And I am missing you.
I remember everything about you,
Your scent, you smile, your touch,
The way you walked, the way you talked,
The way you smiled at me meant so much.
I remember all the words you said to me,
Some funny, some wise, some seemed unkind
All of the things you did for me,
I see them all now with wiser eyes.
You are gone from me now,
But one thing no one can take away,
Your memory resides inside my heart,
And lights up my darkest days…
You are my wonderful Mother
Angel’s took you, my wonderful mother,
Made you a mother who would never grow old;
They took your smile to reside in the sunshine,
They placed your eyes in the brightest stars,
So we could look up daytime or night
and feel your presence near
Once upon a memory you wiped away my tear
Held me close and loved me, Thank you, Mother dear.
Of all the special joys in life, the big ones and the small,
A mother’s love and tenderness, Is the greatest of them all.
