It’s surprising how often I think of you
turn to speak to you
and realize you’re not right there
as I expect you to be
I guess I hold you so close in thought
that it’s hard to understand sometimes
that you aren’t close in person
You will never know how much we miss you
You taught me to appreciate
The beauty of simple things
To look for the Silver Linings
No matter what life brings.
we love you so much and miss you more
than i thought was ever possible
I read the cards For Mothers
And the verses they bring tears,
For the loving words are written
For those who are still here.
You always loved the cards we sent
You saved them through the years
You said they made you feel so loved,
Your eyes glistening through your tears.
This year when I bring you flowers
In my mind your words I’ll hear
They’re beautiful, You shouldn’t have!
But I love them , thank you Dear
They say you’re in a better place
I hope and pray its true,
But today is your Birthday
And I am missing you.
I remember everything about you,
Your scent, you smile, your touch,
The way you walked, the way you talked,
The way you smiled at me meant so much.
I remember all the words you said to me,
Some funny, some wise, some seemed unkind
All of the things you did for me,
I see them all now with wiser eyes.
You are gone from me now,
But one thing no one can take away,
Your memory resides inside my heart,
And lights up my darkest days…

Angel’s took you, my wonderful mother,
Made you a mother who would never grow old; They took your smile to reside in the sunshine, They placed your eyes in the brightest stars,So we could look up daytime or night and feel your presence near Once upon a memory you wiped away my tear Held me close and loved me, Thank you, Mother dear.Of all the special joys in life, the big ones and the small,

There isn’t a day that passes when thoughts of you don’t come to mind
I see you in the faces of my children, I can imagine you singing along when I play your Elvis tapes, I sense you behind me laughing, when I say the things to my children that you used to say to me. Although I always swore to you I would never say them to mine, but it’s just not the same as you being here.
There are so many things I want to say
But I just cannot find the words, but I know you understand
