lol @ Drac re Andrea Leadsom.

Like Drac, I think this campaign fulfils a radical feminist agenda, and is designed for ambitious women like Jess Philips to get power within their parties.

Men like women – physically. most men. That just is. the fact that women don’t want to be with many of the men who fancy them, and the fact that it’s the men who have been landed with the role of chatting up and the women with being chatted up, means that men’s like for women comes out in various ways – from the most vicious (rape) to the relatively unharmful (suggestive messages which stop when the woman makes it clear that the messages, advances etc are unwelcome – eg Fallon touching a reporter’s knee, and being told to stop pronto or get his face punched – still make me laugh). If am man doesn’t stop, then it’s harassment.

This latest campaign seems to be designed to punish men for not being feminists. It blends heavy-handed predatory behaviour with the mildest of flirtatious advances, and claim that they’re all basically the same. As Andrea Dworkin once wrote, all men are rapists, whether they rape or not. A deeply offensive and inaccurate statement.

I don’t think I’m on my own in finding all this pretty disturbing.

I was listening to the radio last Saturday when the whole sexual harassment/abuse thing was being discussed. One lady who called in was in her 50s said she’d been constantly sexually harassed all her adult life and went on to give an example of this.

She recounted a time when she was at a meeting or similar which was attended by some junior MPs. One of the male MPs asked her if she’d like to go for a drink after the meeting. She declined. When the meeting had finished, he handed her a piece of paper with his phone number and said if she changed her mind, to give him a ring.

    That was it.

That was her being sexually harassed.

It’s going to come to the point when men won’t approach women at all for fear of being branded a sexual pest/predator.

here’s an interesting question………you got 70 million people in the U.K or there abouts. Why do you only have 2 main political party’s?

because there’s a sensible electoral system, mister q.

I’m more interested in waiting for the papers to announce that cosy has had to resign from Westminster for not sexually harassing Ruby.

That is already a thing, it’s called MGTOW.

There are a lot more than two parties.

SNP is very influential in Scotish politics.

Sinn Fein and DUP dominate politics in Northern Ireland.

And it wasn’t that long ago that the Lib Dems were in power under a coalition with the Tories.

To be honest….i think you have too see things from all sides. Sceptical Guy is right in a lot of ways that women are looking for more power to run the world. After all, since the war they’ve been growing in numbers. Thing is though………as i previously said and i didn’t enlarge fully is that the whole harassment thing (sexually) is a work place thing. It is true that men will always be men but that doesn’t give them a right in the work place to harass women. It seems to me and tell me if i’m wrong by all means but  i find that Government makes laws for the common people but some how fights among it’s self in house.

The laws should apply from the ruling powers down.
