The record-breaking jet-powered car in which Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond had a near-fatal crash in North Yorkshire has been put up for sale.
The owners of the 300mph Vampire jet dragster want to sell the car and make space in their workshop.
The eBay auction listing for the car describes it as “a little the worse for wear after its much-publicised excursion into the weeds”.
The closing date for bids on the vehicle in 0700GMT on 30 December.
Colin Fallows, the vehicle’s co-owner who hopes to raise between £5,000 and £10,000 from the sale, said he was sad to part with the vehicle.

23 December, 2007 at 7:27 pm #296570I grew up around that car. Colin became very ill after what happened, the BBC have a lot to answer for. Ok Mr Hammond is alive and well… but everyone was focused on him…what a superstar. He crashed someones pride and joy…and they got nothing yet hammond gets a pat on the back. Now…Colin has to sell her. Well thats no justice.
Two fingers to the BBC.

Err no pebbles… i dont think he did! I dont wish that on anyone, i’ve seen something far more horrific than what happened to Hammond with an identical dragster. The stuff of nightmares.
Still… two fingers for the BBC… i know how badly they have treated Colin and Mark behind the scenes. Thats what i am getting at. Not just at Hammond surviving “which made the papers” What didnt make the papers is how they blamed Colin and Mark for it all….
But hip hooray for Hammond…
