I am going to buy some, I am not going to be blonde anymore (only by nature) I have decided to have red hair again, I want some black hair extentions to put through it as I want to thicken my hair up.
Has anyone used them before and which ones did you buy?
Tried and tested faves?
25 June, 2008 at 11:49 pm #350680No but I watched this program on bbc3 last night about people who were wearing too much make up and stuff and both the girls had them.
They had to glue them in each and every time they use them, and dry them and straighten them etc, looked like a lot of hassle and I have to say they did look fake and all their mates moaned that they left hair around their places like long haired dogs do when they visit somewhere.
All I would say is invest in the best whatever they are, its about the only fakey thing Ive no real knowledge or advice on.
If its fake tan Im yer man!

Well I only want them in temp, nothing drastic, i know I would buy the real hair ones, just wondered if there was a particular brand like!
My mate spent 800 quid having hers done, they looked shocking!
There are one you can buy on clips, which might be better for when I am going out  who knows!
25 June, 2008 at 11:55 pm #350682These girls had their brought ones, that they had to glue in as and when needed. But also washed etc. It would ruin your scalp that glue.
Do a bit of research first hun. Im sure by this time tomorrow some others will have posted with more info than me, so fingers crossed for some good references x

You suit blonde Sian
26 June, 2008 at 12:18 am #350684ya need the clip ons sian,,you get 3 large peices,2 medium and 2 small for your hair and head size.. (we HAVE met) will cost about 80 quid, but their real hair, and ya get them cheaper off of Ebay. I will ask my daughter the brand she uses tomorrow, but they are damm realistic and no need for glues and sticky bits. ! and on the plus side, you can dye them with being non polyester.
26 June, 2008 at 12:33 am #350685I got that done in 1993 long before the modern ones. Thought it would look cool to have long hair. Spent 175 quid getting it down one morning.
My Mum feel about the floor laughing, and my Gran nearly took a Heart Attack. I shaved my head the next day.26 June, 2008 at 6:18 am #350686@*Sian wrote:

OMG! I had them about 5 years ago..the proper ones that they have to glue in I wanted the Beau Derek look!…cost me about £90 sat in the shop for hours, and they done it so
tight, I couldnt sleep with the pain..so had to take them out a couple of days later..and it
gave me dandruff for ages, had to buy T-gel shampoo to get rid of it (Never again) Iv never been in a hairdresser since..my firend comes round just too trim it now. Iv seen your
pic..It looks lovley as it is, be carefull.26 June, 2008 at 7:37 am #350687My 19 year old daughter has titian curly hair and its absolutely head turning.
For 3 years she has died it dark brown and added hair extensions and straightened it.
It looks real but has nothing on her original hair.
I worry about the damage she is doing to it.26 June, 2008 at 8:30 am #350688SIAN x my m8 a hairdresser and specialists in hair extenstions, her salon charge from £600 upwards for hair extenstions..!! as it does take 4hrs per head to do PROPERLY…
i quiz’d her on u doin it DIY…… she suggested and said… ‘ dont buy any u have to use a bonding with as u won’t be able to do this urself…
as Rubster suggested u get human hair that have wee slides attached go for them, if ur tryin to thicken ur hair, u put them halfway 2inches fae the nape of ur neck and a 1/3 way up but not beyond the top of ur crown…that make sense lol
