Gr8 stuff from Gretna getting to the Scottish Cup semi’s. I see some lucky bastage had a good few quid on em at 200-1 to get to the semi’s. I’d have had a few quid on em myself if I’d have seen those odds.
I certainly wouldent bet against them winning the Cup now as a 2nd Division side. Bet the odds on them winning it would have been 1000-1 or something at the start. :shock:
Even better now that they are as good as in the Final against Hearts or Hibs. They have a great chance of winning this thing! Sounds daft, but as a Jambo, I am pleased to have avoided Gretna in the semis – at least we won’t underestimate the Hibs. And I’d rather lose to Hibs in the semis thatn in the Final.
I’d personally tip Hibs in the other semi mate. They havent won the Scottish Cup since 1902. Amazing when you think about that statistic, but this could be their year under Tony Mowbray who’s got them playing some fantastic stuff.

Yeah could go either way – I wouldn’t put too much money on either side, no matter the form going into the semi. I would fancy Hearts because we normally beat Hibs but who knows. Maybe I’ll bet on Hibs so either way I am a winner :) Shame it’s not being held at Murrayfield – would get a huge crowd there for that game.
Would not be in the least surprised to see Gretna go all the way, they will be fearless and just need a little bit of luck or a shyte referee and they’ve cracked it!

But ffs its only Scottish football – there’s only one half decent team there – and even then Celtic would be lucky to finish in the top half of the Premiership :shock: :shock:It dosent matter. Gretna winning the Scottish Cup would be a sensational achievment. I’ve already mentioned that Hibs, one of the bigger Scottish teams havent won the cup since 1902, so that shows the achievement it would be for Gretna to do it.
Oh the old ” It’s only Scottish Football” line again. Celtic may not have the best squad in the world at the moment, but a few years ago we’d have been top 3 in your overrated 1 team Premiership. :wink:How many years we talking about here – Manners ?
well done gretna they have played well so they deserve to be in the semi im just happy for them as the capital they will recieve from this game will keep them going for a wee while,plus i wanted a hearts hibs semi.
