Talking about Aldi, they do a pair of LED arm bands for joggers in their specials, if I recall around two quid. One = flashing collar for a small dog, two = same for big dog, they are velcro and so you can join them up for larger dog. Safety first! and my pooches love it. (I hate them, the dogs lol)

These brilliant lightweight Cree Led torches are the best, in my experience, you can buy for night walking the dog/s if you live in a semi-rural area (or not) and let your dog/s roam off the lead. Small enough to fit into a pocket easily. The light output from these has to be seen to be believed and will easily shine from one end of a football pitch to the other. These torches also make a fantastic front bike light with the right velcro fitting.
Make sure you buy good quality 18650 ‘protected’ batteries and a good quality charger. The batteries can be recharged 300-500 times, so two year + useage.
And cheaper version of torch from China etc. Both branded and unbranded torches are reliable in my experience and both waterproof etc.

9 March, 2017 at 11:37 am #1025217Kenty, I had to use my E1 11 card some years ago. My son took ill while we where attending a family wedding in Slovenia. On arrival at the hospital we were taken into a spotless treatment room our E1 11 card was swiped like a credit card, my son was treated with the best of care from the hospital staff. After he was cleaned and treated we were given a prescription went next door to collect it E1 11 card swiped again. . I was a bit apprehensive on our way to the hospital and was expecting some war damaged building with bars on the windows as Slovenia was once part of Yugoslavia and their war only ended in 2001.
What I did see on the day was lots of English people needing treatment with no E1 11 card! they had to wait longer to be seen and pay for their treatment!
