    I’ve been to the states many many times. The one thing that grates on us Brits is the topic we are discussing!

    its not up to tourism to subsidise your income. The very fact you think it’s your god given right is the very reason we don’t agree with it. Yes we tipwwhen are out there…but it’s according to the experience…..not what’s on the bottom of the receipt. Are we to tip even if the service is pants?

    as for knowing how different countries have “unwritten laws”…..you gotta be kidding me…..in the fukced up world we live in where humans don’t respect other humans …..you’re worried about your tips?……I’d be more worried who’s running the country and giving people a decent wage to live on…….where tips are a bonus

    I love when they say you should tip no less than 10% for terrible service…  :wacko:
