    GOODBYE

    Goodbye to yester year
    There is nothing left for me to fear
    Goodbye to the months all gone
    There is nothing left undone
    Goodbye to last week
    There is nothing left to seek
    Goodbye to my ex wife
    There is nothing left to take of my life
    Goodbye to my daughter
    There is nothing left I haven’t taught her
    Goodbye to my son
    There is nothing I wouldn’t have done
    Goodbye to my dad and mum
    There is nothing more they could have done
    Goodbye to my sisters two
    If only you knew me like I knew you
    Goodbye to my family and friends
    It is my loss, I cannot pretend
    Goodbye to the light
    My soul has taken flight
    Watching over you now as I stand tall
    Heaven is where I am, hell did not call.

    This is incredibly sad and tragic, I wonder what inspired this poem? Good poem Oss… and the words just left me with sorrow!!

    Funny enough AW I told oss the same…….his poem left me feeling very sad indeed, lots of things inspired his poem, life I guess…….he’s ok though :)

    Yes James, oss is G J Smith……that’s his real name hun, and he does write his own poetry
