    Ge

I couldn’t name just three either and I am on a diet at the moment so no cheese or bread and butter etc.

At a push, roast potatoes, cooked the ‘proper’ way! Par boiled and then seasoned, quick shake to ‘rough’ the edges and basted with goose fat every 10-15 mins!

Old school cottage pie but with chopped beef rather than mince and it has to be peas for the veg and a ‘real’ farmhouse cheddar for the topping

Cod and chips on a random bench on a seafront around teatime, lots of salt and vinegar and if one is feeling ‘flush’ mushy peas as well!

    Yum yum!

Goodness I have to admit as well.. Foods I too could name a few more than 10 but my very top is

Home made lasagna with meatballs and garlic bread.

Lamb and pototoes.  Melts in your mouth.

    Filet mignon cooked medium..mashed pototoes.

    Baked honey curd ham..asparagus

Bbq ribs. Never leave table..loads of onion rings

    Mocha frappe and chocolate milkshakes

    Blueberry coffee or hazelnut..

Realizing last 2 not food per say..sure can be a nice dessert with whipping cream. Lol

    Nibblers..Italian pastries..cannoli

If you are on a diet try the phil vickery low fat recipes from the TV series save money good diet (You can watch the whole series on catchup and get some very good ideas for his healthy recipes). There is also a book available.

here are a few of the links for the recipes.

    Phil Vickery’s spaghetti bolognese

As for a list of favourite foods here is my contribution.  I did try and limit it to 3 but also found it difficult
    1.  Pasta done many different ways
    2.  homemade thick (at least 3 inches) BBQ pork ribs or belly pork in my special sauce adapted from a James martin recipe.
    3.  Orzo risotto, cooks in just 10 mins with no stirring or adding stock all the time. (Orzo is a pasta that looks like rice and you cant tell the difference when done, taken from Nigella Lawsons Pasta Risottata with Peas and Pancetta.
    4.  Homemade Sunday roast with all the trimmings.
    5.  Strawberries. apples and tomatoes fresh from my garden, can be used in so many ways
Think I had better stop there.

Thanks for that GD and thanks for the link. I am trying a low carb diet which isn’t really working because I am also exercising a lot more than I have been and so craving carbs to refuel. I am just eating bland grilled chicken breasts and lots of veg etc but with no sauces etc and which hasn’t left me with much energy and so I will try some of those recipes (easy enough for me to cook as well :-) ).

To only pick three is quite cruel!

    Thai red curry
    Thai green curry
    Pak Choy
    Chilli con carne and Rice
Poached Eggs on toast with ground white pepper and salt.(runny egg naturally)
Chicken Chow mein with chinese curry sauce.
Chicken Madras with saag aloo and plain naan (every Friday night).

A big bowl of comforting pasta of any kind with a sprinkling of capers and parmesan and lots and lots of basil leaves and freshly ground black pepper.

    A Greek Meze
Slow Roasted Lamb stuffed with whole garlic cloves and sprigs of Rosemary.
