I’m a big fan of Darren Bent. He’s already scored 3 goals in 3 games? He’ll add a load of goals to that number this season I believe.

Not many talking points to be honest.
Macedonia are playing quite well. England havent really got into their stride yet. It’s just that England played utter rubbish! Seriously, what the fu.ck has Bent got to do to actually get on the pitch? Fu.ck his 25 goals for Charlton last year . What has he got to do? Score 50 goals a season just to get on the pitch? And what the fu.ck has Lennon got to do to get a starting birth? I mean, you got boring players like Downing wondering down the wing at walking pace, when you got Lennon on the bench…Drop Lampard, stick Gerrard central, and put Lennon on the wing! Fu.ckinhell, it ain’t rocket science! And of course, get rid of Downing full stop! God, that dude nearly put me to sleep, I swear..I was nearly O.D’ing off Pro Plus!
Defoe is a good player, but Bent deserves a place ahead of him..He barely played last year and didn’t have to prove himself to get in the team..Bent worked hard to try and force his way in by scoring 24 goals last year and didnt even get picked for the world cup, or even played in these 2 qualifiers! It’s a disaster and a total fu.cking shambles!
So you think it wil improve things bringin Bent on – ffs – he’s not an International class player – Gerrard was just about playing central midfield after 35 minutes – and he was shyte anyway – i thought he was our worst player and thats saying something – apart from Terry they were all shyte
As I said before Robbo they need a decent skilfull midfielder – preferably 2 – where the feck we gonn find them I don’t know
As for lennon – same old story – head down and run for the line – he gave possession away at a critical point in the match
And as for Johnson – another Championship player along with Bent – we are scraping the feckin barrell hereYour comment about Bent is almost laughable…The youngster was 2nd top goalscorer last season, ahead of some of the best strikers in the world..Have you ever seen him play? With Rooney suspended, and Owen out..He should have started ahead of Defoe, and ahead of Johnson as he earned his place in the English team! That is what I was saying, which would have been obvious to someone with any little bit of knowledge about football…Even a 5 year old would have known that! Jeez
Joe Cole and Wayne rooney are young, skillful tenacious little players, along with Lennon! Your knowledge of players, and your knowledge of football as a whole is extremely disappointing and shocking for someone who claims to have both…This is my last message to you, as your knowledge about football, and other things within the sport, has simply put me off from wasting effort replying to your waste of space posts.
Reply all you like..It will just be the same post worded different . Don’t expect a reply from me, as it won’t happen.
Yes I have seen them all play Robbo
I watch far more live games than you do obviously – It was Bents 1st season in the premiership – he won’t get anywhere near that total this season unless Charlton get a lot of penalties
Your ideas of skilful players are laughableDowning is far more effective than Phillips – and as for his speed – have you ever seen him play – live Robbo – he’s feckin really fast
he had a season at Sunderland on loan – I watched him weeek in week out – he’s a good player – adds balance to the team
Course thats something you dont know anything about – a team has to be balanced – you dont just pick the best individual 11 – you pick a balanced team
Look at the 66 WC winners
You’re young Robbo , your still learning , your brain if you have one – is still developing
HAve your balls dropped yet ??? has your voice brokenNever mind in a few years when you are older and perhaps wiser you will understand
In the meantime you will keep me amused with your extremely limited and parochial knowledge of the great game
Stick to tennis son
You are a complete dork who knows nothing about football..Your opinions are unreal..Seriously..Unbeleivable…Downing is more effective than Phillips? No, not even close…Has pace? No, he barely has any pace…I was watching a program about the match today, and the people who were on the show are worried about the lack of pace he possesses,…and the lack of other things that a footballer needs down the wing. But they know nothing about football too, right? They, my friend, were former football players…If you have watched him like you claim you have, then you are very very stupid if you call that pace, his passing, as I have said, is horrific. The only great thing he possesses in is in his crossing ability, which isn’t enough that this level.
You may think otherwise, but the football pundits, myself, and other huge amounts of fans will disagree with you. A few users have already disagreed with a few things you have said in this topic..But no, I know nothing about football, do I? You know more than everyone about the game . But i’m sure everyone will disagree with you..Even Sharon knows more about football than you . You are a complete dumb ar.se…You are in my top 10 of dumb users I have ever had reply to me in about 3 years. You should feel honoured…A top 10 is some acheivment .
This time, i’m not replying..You are too dumb for me to keep wasting this perfectly good energy on your waste of space posts…
Goodbye, Drivel

Yip….Quality little striker. If he was at United, Arsenal, or Chelsea..He would have played for England in the week. Just goes to show really, doesn’t it? Players arn’t always picked on ability, goalscoring record or other simularities..But players are picked if you are with a top 5 team

same with andy johnson, he was quailty today, world class standard, to wonder why he only has had 15 mins of football with england is beyond me, i don’t think him and rooney would link up too well mind, but crouch and johnson would have been a good partnership
well played Everton too, looked impressive at times, top quailty football
9 September, 2006 at 4:34 pm #240011im not playing on this thread today
im fed up with gloating other half ringing me up whenever he is out and we concede a goal…. i get a phone call, no hello, just menacing laughter
10 September, 2006 at 11:00 pm #240012Well Robbo – let’s see how your players got on yesterday
Bent – brilliant – totally impressive – did he touch the ball ???/
Gerrard – ace midfielder – brilliant haha – totally outplayed by Neville
You can carry on with your name calling Robbo – but you haven’t got a clue mateThe only player I have perhaps a reservation about is Johnson – bu there again – the Liverpool defense was absolutely abysmal
Now onto Newcastle – pml 10 million for ????/??/ Martins Ohhh sorry as you say I haven’t seen him play a full match yet Why – cos he got a dead leg in his 1st match – although he had done nothign before that – and he was taken off yesterday – because he was shyte !!!!!!!!! well done Robbo – another one to look out for
Your choice of players is unbelievableDefoe – ffs – he’s off to Portsmouth – he far better carry on and get the ferry to france
BUt hold on – you critiscise me for critiscing other teams – like Newcastle – instead of praising my own team
Where was I yesterday – ahh yes Derby – along with 5,000 other Sunderland supporters – and did we win – deservedly so – great performance
But there again we are real fans Robbo – not armchair viewers like you w ankin off at Foreign football shyte
Let me summarise your sum total football knowledge – Martins is a superb player – fast as feck – prolific goal scorer – toon have got a bargain
HHHHHHHHAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahaaaaaaaaaa
Stick to tennis mate – but even there you havent got a clue – your a bit young for crown bowls yet – but perhaps you might get an interest in crazy golf !!!!!!! – or maybe synchronised swimming !!!!!!!!!

I’ll sum your whole post up by near enough one thing..You are basically judging them on one game..Where have you been the past 2 years?. Locked up in your bedroom, typing to users about how you love critisizing teams and what not?
You cannot judge players by one game..It’s impossible, and shows your lack of intelligence towards the sport..How about Ronaldinho? He didnt exactly have a wonderful game neither. What about Kaka for AC? Ronaldinho against Arsenal last year? He was absolutely garbage for BOTH of the games, and against Chelsea! So are them players a fu.cking disgrace, or are you going to be a hypocrite and of course, contradict yourself in your next post? The fact of the matter is…Every player has obviously days when they do not perform up to standard!
I loved the way you came rushing on here like a child with a little bit of knowledge about yesterdays games and yesterdays players to try and rub something in when you yet again failed to do so, but you will keep coming back, trying again, to prove a point that cannot be proven.
I have years of wonderful performances by Gerrard, Defoe, and other players alike..Well done for picking one game, you moron!
This, “armchair fan” thing is really making you look a total fu.cking idiot!. I won’t say anything on that..I’ll leave that one for you! You do an amazing job at making yourself look an ass!
10 September, 2006 at 11:12 pm #240014aww, you two boys playing again lol!!!! :D
you crack me up, your just like my sons, always bickering but love each other really
11 September, 2006 at 8:33 am #240015gerrard is the best midfielder in the world at the moment, without a doubt, but yes he was outclassed by a determined phil neville on saturday, osman looks good to, and will surly get a call up soon, why not drop lampard and give the youngster a go
Defoe is struggling for confidence, a move to portsmouth might be ideal for him, working with harry again, who i can’t beleive he never got a mention when it came to the national job, if you look at the england team, he is the one man responsible for nearly 1/4 of the current squad in his time at west ham, that says somthing in itself
good victory for sunderland, keane will get them fireing for sure, but nothing to get carried away, derby have also had a very poor start to the season too
