“I love it when you call
I love it when you call
I love it when you call
but you never call atall”bloody brilliant! *bounces*
28 June, 2008 at 5:59 am #350966Pity about the weather though. Glastonbury won’t be the same without knee deep mud everywhere and thousands of hippies and ‘new age travellers’ stoned out of their minds (as usual) on an assortment of chemicals.
At the Notting Hill Carnival the usual statistics are how many street robberies (muggings) occur and how many knifings and shootings happen. At Glastonbury it’s all about drug overdoses and unplanned pregnancies.
Still I’m sure that all the nice people go there just to listen to the music don’t they?
28 June, 2008 at 6:37 am #350967Its changed too much.
In the past it was stoned hippies, bad music and all night drunken party’s .
The best music started after the stages had close down, and the “act’s” were relaxing with the “common “ folk and having a laugh.
Now its all boring little house wife’s and men in suits trying to make up for their boring little lives.
People who moan if the “acts” keep them waiting for “milly seconds” .
I’m sure “boy zone” or one of the many “ready made pop idols” will be on the bill soon.
I bet most of you can’t remember why it started or why.
It’s a crying shame what has happened to Glastonbury and I feel we are all a little poorer for it.
28 June, 2008 at 8:31 am #350968the feeling is’nt really what Glasonbury was all about, I agree with Liam on this one.. Glastonbury is no longer what it used to be, not now you got 2pac and whats his face, whats going off?

the contradiction was intentional :) they dont make festivals like they used to.
/pah ! I almost agreed with D.O.A .
28 June, 2008 at 10:57 am #350973Nowadays hippies are more diverse, it’s a natural progression
28 June, 2008 at 11:02 am #350974I say bring back the “hey mans” and bearded types,, I find festivals all 25 year old, baseball cap ,wearing types. Who wouldnt know good music if it bit them on the designer denim erse !
I went to tea in the park a couple of years back, and couldnt find drugs for the life of me ! Had to drink pish warm lager !the true essence of the festivals for me was being totally unplanned, and leaving things to fate where we slept etc LOL. and if i didnt look like Swampy by the end of it,id have demanded my money back. Now they have big 16 bedroom tents etc! and electic supplies for straightners etc.
Kids today,,, dont know their born.
/puts her teeth in and shuts up.
