having somewhat cheered up now, Im settled down for an evening of music. Currently watching the Tin Tins having just taken in The feeling, who did video killed the radio star and Take on me brilliantly as well as their own stuff.
Later there is the Fratellies (and Im gonna marry the lead singer when I grow up), and then flick over to the mandella concert to see if Amy shows up!
Warra weekend!

27 June, 2008 at 6:58 pm #350957Brilliant line up. Can’t believe this time last year I was wading through mud, wish I had gone again this year. Was absobloodyfantastic last year though, Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Kooks, Artic Monkeys, Amy, Shirles, Manics…..to name just a few *sighs wistfully at the memories*
Hmmm might see if I can get tickets next year, already been nattering to a couple of mates that want to go.
bloody hell, the grass is still green! well i hope the rain holds off for them all, it didn’t spoil the experience, but it did make it difficult to slopwaddle from stage to stage.
Just been looking at what is playing at what stage.. i’d be hopping from Pyramid to Other to John Peel to see all things people I’d want to see. OOo and the Blockheads are on with Phill Jupitus, now that would be worth a look.

Minim Im so jealous!
I know a few who have gone, the lucky ones with less commitments than me and a lot more money, the swines! One day though…. its a wish of both of ours to get there one year and we shall.
Phil with the blockheads… that has gotta be interesting! What I like about the whole thing is the surprises like that, different bands mixing with artists you’d never think of, or doing different bands songs in their own style etc, its like a big mixing pot.
I remember last year catching Madness in this teeny tent doing a simple piano version of one of their tunes and Im damned if I can remember the track now! there were honestly only about 20 people in there, it looked brilliant.
After all the stick Jay zee has had it will be interesting to see what he does and how he goes down. There are lots of rumours about duets with other artists buzzing around at the mo, we shall see.
And of course there is Shakin Stevens my childhood hereo, I remember buying Smash Hits so I could learn the lyrics to Green Door!

27 June, 2008 at 10:10 pm #350961Just caught Amy’s performances tonight and she looks as with it as she used to, she was interviewed and was happy to admit she was still classed as a hospital impatient and was to be wisked off straight back afterwoods.
Her and the marvellous Gerry Dammers lead the “free nelson” finale and it was grand.
So all is looking good for her performance at Glasto tomorrow.
Caught the fratelli’s earlier and Estelle, both great, but now Im seeing repeats cos Ive seen it all via the red button, I want some proper live feed please BBC!!
