It’s not just about sending them to their boy/girlfriend though. All too often they’re put on some kind of social media to humiliate.
Bear in mind also, in the eyes of the law, it’s distributing indecent images of a child, no matter if the ‘child’ took that photo themselves.

Absolutely I agree. That wasn’t my point though and I am aware this is your area of expertise, however there is lots of evidence emerging that the CPS are going for softer targets to tick boxes and meet targets. It isn’t as if this is the first time under-resourced police and the CPS have done it either.

Teenagers have killed themselves over images being posted on social media, its tragic that they think their life is ruined forever over a boob pic or such like, truly tragic..

And going back to the point of my original post and why this thread was started:
Don’t allow yourself to manipulated by people who have malicious intent.
Its fascinating where this whole thread has leaded.
Young people are easier to manipulate but older people (like me) can be just as silly.
My job here is done.
Even the most intelligent and savvy of folk can be tricked into believing lies.
Young or old we are all susceptible to being fed total bullshit and giving people what they want.
Its all about the people you meet in life, some will enhance your life and make it better, and some will destroy you.

With adequate funding and I don’t know how child porn is graded by the powers to be, “hard core child porn” and those who view it, could seriously be tackled. You have to ask yourself why it isn’t being tackled. State created “moral panics” in my opinion is a red herring.
