wow, Martin hopefully your still reading this:
1. you started the thread so only you can delete it in full, not just what you typed.
2. are you new to the internet?
3. very few threads ever stay on topic
4. cop yourself on and man up, get back here and have a laugh with the rest of us.
Not sure about the “man up” bit, Lucy!
If someone starts a thread with genuine, pleasant intentions and then others make less than kind comments, I think most people would be at least a little peeved and probably annoyed/upset.
Too many people feel the need to boost their own self-esteem by bringing others down, conveniently hiding behind the anonymity of the internet.
Some would call it cyber-bullying …. others would call it cowardice ….so true, Nicey, so true :shock:
it’s a little worrying that a mild-mannered and well-meaning man such as Martin should be driven off the boards by such mild comments. What if the real McCoy were set loose on the gentle soul?
I get even more worried about the trials Martin will face as he sets off on his journey through life, where people can actually be a lot less nice than here.
I think we should all say a little prayer for him, hoping that he will be guided whole through the dark valleys of human interchange.

I noticed Gemma removed her picture so I will remove the one I quoted for her welcome
I would assume most people read message boards for quite a while before signing up…therefore get a gist of the kind of replies etc that go on there. Here is no exception by any means as far as niceness, little sly digs, banter and down right nastiness goes Martin. Something none of us have any control over unless you just leave I guess.

Martin, let me rephrase my post:
Your the new one, please take the time to read the boards before jumping in, as you will see there are many thread were people intraduce themselves yet noone throws a hissy fit when they dont get replys, this is a message board not a social club.So just keep posting, the nice ones always shine through.
Some people just don’t have a thick skin i suppose.
