Omg!! Only a few days ago did a couple of girls at work tell me that they had the Babyliss (Elegance i think it was called – the latest one.) They paid £70.
Ive seen them on amazon and on ebay for half that price though. Amazon also has lots of reviews which make these straighteners sound even better than GHD’s!
I’m in a dilema now! Dont know whether to chance it with these Babyliss ones or just go straight for the GHD’s??? :?
Only thing is, the Babyliss ones arent wide like the GHD ones, so this might swing it for me.
Geordie, are your ones any good on long hair?
Nooo! Don’t be overcome by the darkside…it’s GHD suicide…..you faith switcher!!!
GB you traitor!

She had so many diffrent pares over the years but the £120 was well worth the money for her staight as a straight thing her hair is lol
Get the GHDs worth every penny beleve me

Well Im just back from the hairdressers and Im sold. Gonna have to save up though. What a great invention and she showed me the knack of getting right to the top of my curly roots!!
Fooking hell shazza, you would never know from your pics you had curly hair….go on.post a curly one
26 January, 2008 at 2:10 pm #305352Hmm im still undecided. Just because the GHD’s are expensive doesnt mean they are going to be any better than the Babyliss ones, does it? :? My last Charles Worthington flat out straighteners were ace, and they were only about £30 a few years ago for the wide ones! How dare they discontinue them!!!
Damn it, I need to decide soon before my hair frazzles to death with these wet to straight ones

all I can say is buy the woman the wrong Hair Straightener for xmas and experience the withering smile of gratitude…………
I did find a tampon behind my ear once and then wondered where I’d left that pencil ?
26 January, 2008 at 4:08 pm #305355trust me pebbles i had GHD’s for about a yr till i tried these babyliss. i would have GHD’s again but i do like the babyliss. i think it depends alot on your own hair type as well. the GHD’s just dried my hair out and stripped the colour, yes they straightened my hair poker straight but so do the babyliss without the dryness which is a plus for me.
id say go for either ones :D26 January, 2008 at 4:10 pm #305356arggggghhhhhhhhhhh
decisions decisions…
Im a bit worried about buying the GHD’s if they dry your hair out like you say…has anyone else with GHD’s noticed this??
(my hair is long thick, curly but not coloured)
