aye thats pretty much the norm for the marks 1v’s dawny. though it would depend on length of hair, and most folks would easily get away with an older design.
I used them once,,well my daughter did,,on me and i looked no weel with straight hair :) was really long though, felt like lady godiva, but i like my wee curly pow :)22 January, 2008 at 3:56 pm #305340My youngest sister has really lovely curly hair. She has it straightened now and again an I gotta say, it dont suit her. I dont like it on her, but I think is cos I’m not used to it with her. She likes it though

24 January, 2008 at 9:57 am #305342i have awful curly hair, thick and frizzy like an afro
my mam bought me GHD’s after i had my hair chemically straightened. they were fab. i loved them and raved about them to everyone. BUT, i colour my hair alot and the GHD’s did strip the colour outta my hair  anyway i wasnt bothered though as i still had poker straight hair
then a while ago my brothers girlfriend asked me to swap straighters as hers were to wide for her very short hair. i ended up with babyliss pro 230. they are fab, even better for my type of hair than the GHD’s. i can straighten my hair and not have to go over it again for days!!
yes GHD’s are fab but i love my babyliss24 January, 2008 at 8:40 pm #305343Omg!! Only a few days ago did a couple of girls at work tell me that they had the Babyliss (Elegance i think it was called – the latest one.) They paid £70.
Ive seen them on amazon and on ebay for half that price though. Amazon also has lots of reviews which make these straighteners sound even better than GHD’s!
I’m in a dilema now! Dont know whether to chance it with these Babyliss ones or just go straight for the GHD’s??? :?
Only thing is, the Babyliss ones arent wide like the GHD ones, so this might swing it for me.
Geordie, are your ones any good on long hair?
24 January, 2008 at 10:22 pm #305344yes they are great for long hair. my hair is long, thick and curly and are fine on mine.
it takes me a while to straighten my hair whatever im using i just think the babyliss leave my hair smoother :D24 January, 2008 at 10:27 pm #305345but i loved yer curls caro ! ye were like a geordie negative picture of me :)
