Not sure if anyone has watched this drama on Bbc, Getty is a familiar story / topic, though far from knowledgeable on it, I was fascinated by it. It kind of makes you realise money breeds contempt, and yes it gives you choices, but if you are unhappy anyway you can make some very bad choices. IE: money ‘can be’ the root of evil, money gives people power, power should be respected, not by the people with the money, they are the ones at risk in a lot of ways. Power can turn normal people into monsters. A whole family of very wealthy people. A whole family of unhappy, disjointed, misunderstood, unbalanced, sad people…. but very wealthy. Be careful what you wish for ….

Tbh I don’t read 99% of any thread he starts but I am informed about his fixation with me. Creepy guy.
Anyway, back to the topic….
Can’t say for sure whether you would enjoy it Scep I’m not that far in really, anything based on a true story I find kinda interesting, I’ll crack on with it and let you know.
I actually watched a programme on BBC2 last night about Getty, but I am having a break from politics on the boards or I would get into how his sons “saving” expensive ‘art’ for the nation means diddly squat to foodbank users and poverty stricken former mill towns in the north of England….
