Just an idea, just a suggestion, maybe even a tip.

If you knew or learnt about the class and group systems within Horse Racing, (I’m assuming you don’t from your writings) how then that relates to favourites and betting,it might make you or help you see football betting differently. It can only benefit you.

    Please answer this, anybody.

How can an unraced debutant horse, with no form be a bookies favourite to win a race against experienced and proven winners?

    And?

    would you bet on it?

    Should it win?

    Ge

    Loving the Alfieisms.

Next he will be claiming his team Arsenal under Wenger met his criteria for “class”. A team that won the Champions League 0 times out of numerous attempts (can’t be arsed googling) and who won the premiership 0 times out of countless attempts (ignore the flukie early success). All while paying Wenger 8 million quid a year.

Demonstrating, you can’t actually buy class either. If honours were dished out for not winning major trophies Arsenal would have a cupboard full of them.

Turning out to be a brilliant world cup. Germany out, Spain out.

    Come on Wales!

Arsenal are definitely one of England’s classiest clubs. They don’t get much classier. Liverpool and Man Utd I would say.

An unraced racehorse will have gallops at home and usually on a racecourse with experienced older horses usually with proven form, so the connections can have a fair idea of the horses ability before it sets foot on the track for its first race. There are also gallops watchers who watch the workouts, either for their own benefit or to report back to bookmakers.

Hello Reason and thankyou very much for your excellent answer.

I wasn’t expecting that. I was expecting to have to argue my way for 2 days through this.

How, if at all would that relate to our debate on class? Class of the horse as in pedigree and class of the race, class 5 og Group 1?

Can I ask would you bet on him if he was the favourite? Do you think it would or should win?

Fulham were down to gates of 4000 before mr fayed came along waving his cheque book that I do know.

However if this new chairman mr khan has 800 million spare to buy Wembley I would expect major investment in the team.
